Grifno: I bought these for a gift at a super good price, but I personally have a larger set. Its a water based dye ink with an artist like brush tip, not actual watercolor and definitely not anything like your average marker. I'm a colored pencil gal, so I don't reach for these often. But when I do, its so much fun. These are very niche and not a staple, like colored pencils, a watercolor pallet, or alcohol markers. But its the perfect gift for the crafter or artist in your life that has everything. Plus there are endless amount of things you can do with these which will definitely enhance any experimental playtime. Arteza did a good job with these. My mom is going to love this set for her birthday. So glad I picked them up at such a good price on prime day.

Morgan: I have a bunch of these markers already but wanted a few others, so I ordered the “unique colors” set since it included 12 colors I didn’t have yet. At least based on the color chart & numbers they show for that set. I found it odd that the chart only showed numbers and no color names, but didn’t think anything of it until I just received them and the 12 colors are not unique at all - they are 12 colors I have already that are super standard. Pretty frustrating and feels like a bait & switch, since it seems like they’re trying to make you think the colors are different by not including the names.

In case it’s helpful for anyone else, the actual colors included in “unique colors” are 103/royal blue; 104/noir; 188/wisteria; 111/light green; 115/smoke grey; 120/seaweed green; 108/bright blue; 102/chocolate; 107/neon pink; 105/lemon yellow; 101/red; and 112/orange.

I’ll be returning these and buying actual unique colors from another brand.

abcummings: Full disclosure: I bought the biggest pack of these already, and thought these were additional color ( to add to my 96 count collection)
I made sure to look at the numbers, didn’t see any over laps so I bought them all.

Found out upon arrival they’re all the same colors as in the big count box just broken down into smaller packs, just relabeled with different numbers
A bit disappointing, but I will use them so I did keep them.

Angela Samson: Loved these pens! I haven’t found comparable pens with the same flexible brush tip. Great for the value and quality. I had one small issue with one of the brush pens though the Arteza customer service reps were warm and quick to address any issues that I had. I have used quite a bit of the Arteza products over the years and I’d say they’re great quality, generally long lasting and good value.

JADROJADRO: I made butterflies out of the watercolor paper and gave to my elderly Mom to paint them. She did a nice job considering she only started painting last year after 93 years. I showed her little bit that she can delute the paint if you use the water. I love the water brush that comes with the set of brush paints. She understood for a while while I was there showing her, but then, after I did not instruct her, she did her own thing and did not dilute the paint but she was happy painting with the new colors. I noticed some colors were getting dried up. I do not know if that is because she used so much color in one spot or you need to dip in water every so often. I still have to learn how to use these properly.
