Arm & Hammer Ultra Max: Advanced Invisible Solid Unscented Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant

Literate on Lithium: Have allergies to scents. Have to use unscented laundry soap and no softeners. This is the only deodorant I've never had any issues with.

Gee Whiz RS: Trying to find an antiperspirant that works and doesn't make you smell like a tart's handbag is not easy. This works and doesn't smell but I do find it leaves a greasy feel under your pits which leaves marks on your clothes. I was initially happy with this product but now would not recommend it.

John Meinken: If you're looking for a deodorant that has absolutely no scent after applied, you've come to the right place.

I've been using this deodorant for several years after Mitchum unscented gel started giving me a rash. It's not the most effective deodorant I've ever used. But it works well enough even though I'm a stinky guy. In the summer sometimes I need to reapply mid-day.

I was initially worried about using a solid deodorant. It's a white solid, but it goes on clear and has never left white marks on my clothes. Actually it's more pleasant to apply than a gel because it's not sticky and it's not cold in winter.

Dr. Girlfriend: I have more or less used Secret for at least 20 years & have changed to this.

I don't exactly sweat a lot, I would venture to say I sweat normally for a semi-athletic person. This said, some deodorants just didn't work for me. Degree? Worthless. Arid Extra Dry would work, but that's sometimes hard to find. Other female-marketed deodorants/anti-perspirants just failed me. So this is how I stuck to Secret for so long.

What finally got to me was avoiding white or light colored shirts in the summer or during a work out due to yellow armpit stains. So, I researched this online, along with how best to remove said stains. One of the things I read is that deodorants/anti-perspirants high in aluminum cause this yellow staining. I don't know if this is true or not, but I searched for aluminum free on amazon and this is one of the products that came up.

I wasn't keen on spending $20 for 6 sticks, but I figured if it didn't work for me I could donate them to a shelter.

The good news is it DOES work, I barely sweat and my shirts are blissfully clear of gross yellow stains. With the Secret brand I used it advertised I could skip a day if I had to, and the few...

JLee: I’ve been using this for several years. I’ve never been able to say that about any other deodorant, as I have extremely sensitive skin and I also used to have what they politely referred to as “problem perspiration,” which means I sweat a lot. For years, every antiperspirant I tried either made my skin itch or break out in a rash or it simply didn’t work at all. So, needless to say, I tried a lot of different brands.

No problems with this stuff. Works great as an antiperspirant and as a deodorant. No itching. I can even skip a day, and I usually purposely do that about once a week to give my skin a rest.

I always buy the unscented, which can be hard to find in stores, so I’m very glad I found it here on Amazon.

It seems to be mainly marketed towards men, but it works fine for me.

Ethan M.: This stuff works. For me it definitely works 24 hours. This is not necessarily a good thing, though: it goes on very heavy (it is white and pasty, not clear). To avoid ruining my clothes I rub an extremely light amount once, with a very light touch. This is enough to keep me dry all day (and without antiperspirant I sweat quite a lot). There's no way I will go through one whole stick of this stuff in my lifetime, let alone six.

But you have to be very careful. Don't put on too much: you will find it is difficult to wash off, leaving an odd feeling under your armpits that can be irritating. Also you should be slightly worried about a product that completely stops you from sweating. There are many reasons we sweat: we sweat to cool down, but we also sweat to get rid of some toxins from our bodies. A good antiperspirant, in my opinion, should keep sweating under control, without completely preventing natural body function. This one definitely goes overboard.

That being said, the product is called "Ultra Max", and advertises "24 hours of clean". So you know exactly what they're going for when you buy it. Personally the only reason I bought it was because it was...
