Pilate_lite: I was using this to connect an Arlo doorbell and indoor camera.
SHORT VERSION: I don't recommend buying this product. My cameras stopped working with this hub after two weeks, but the cameras work fine when I remove them from the hub and connect using wifi. I have tried everything to resolve the matter.

LONG VERSION: Everything worked well the first two weeks and then the cameras started dropping their connection periodically. I would get grayed out images with lines across them, and while I received motion alerts, I usually didn't receive the recorded video. When I did receive video it was for a couple of seconds and was all grayed out. I have gigabit internet, a new router that works great, the updated Arlo app, and I have followed EVERY related online Arlo knowledge base or customer support checklist. Nothing works. Arlo support consists of "restart camera or hub" or "factory reset camera or hub" and try to reconnect your cameras. That's as creative as they get so if you already know to do that, don't bother.

Pedro Malacara: Es tercera vez que compro uno de estos, están hechos para quemarse al poco tiempo. No importa si lo tienes en un UPS, nobreak, regulador. Se termina quemando y tus cámaras salen sobrando. No recomiendo arlo para nada. Prácticas abusicas por parte del la app para comprar el espacio en la nube, son lentas, y la atención no es buena. Recomiendo otras marcas.

Renan: Tengo 4 cámaras ARLO Essencial y mejoró bastante la velocidad de respuesta de las cámaras. La imagen tardaba mucho en llegar a mi celular y eso ya se corrigió. Graba en el USB muy bien aún cuando no estoy dentro de Estados Unidos. Lo único que no he podido corregir es que no puedo visualizar los videos grabados si no estoy en casa. No sé cómo corregirlo.

Dziem Vuong: Not too user friendly when it comes to setup. At least I can record and store videos through the Usb drive instead of subscription from Arlo.

David Dooley: I have the Arlo Basestation VMB4030 and 3 Arlo Essential Spotlight cameras. I've had the cameras for about 8 month's and the basestation for about 2.5 months and I can quite honestly say it's an absolute pile of &$%^

I cannot keep the cameras online for more than 3 days, quite often it's less than 1 day. and then I have to delete the camera from the app and reset it and then reinstall it in the app. It now takes me less than 10 mins to get each camera back on line, but I do this to one of the cameras at least daily and some times multiple cameras it's f&^%ing ridiculous how often I have to reset this system and for the price of the system it's totally unacceptable. In addition to the cameras going off line one of them totally failed it almost 4 weeks to get Arlo to acknowledge that the camera was dead and organize a replacement. That new camera is just as bad as my original cameras and they sent the wrong dam colour camera. I purchased black bodied cameras and they replaced it with a white one.

SO my take away from this fiasco is don't bother with Arlo cameras or any of their products they will drive you mad.

I wish amazon would let...
