Ariat Western Boots: Heritage Roper with Wide Square Toe Design

Kenny H: Just what I wanted in a roper. You can wear and beat the heck out of them, especially for the price, or you can baby them, keep them fresh. I bought mine to wear and care less, wanting a beat-up look. Good boots, but they ran large for me, requiring heavy socks. If half-sizes were available, I’d half-size down. Good boots.

William H.: Although I expected a little more of a sole for a "work" boot , they don't seem to be slippery. I haven't had them in mud yet though. They are pretty well made for Chinese cowboy boots. A little stiff at first just like a good leather boot should be. With a little leather conditioner they were comfortable by day 2. My first pair of Ropers......hope they last a while.

Clifford E. Hatfield: The boots fit fine, but only AFTER I opened the boot 'stovepipe'. The boot packaging caused the stovepipe uppers to collapse at the ankle location. Left alone, the boots would have removed all the skin from both sides of both ankles. Manufacturer needs to realize this and support that stovepipe in the packaging to keep it open. Not everyone will know how to open the stovepipe and retrain the leather. Note to manufacturer: If you don't understand what I mean, take a pair out of the warehouse and put them on, then walk around the block. You'll get it! I would've given the boots a 5-Star rating if your packaging worked.

Jeff: When I first opened these boots I thought I would be returning them. At first glance, the boot /shoe part of the boot didn't seem like genuine leather, and the soles were made of rubber. The upper part of the boots are stiff and I was concerned about comfort. I decided to give them a try and when I put my foot into the first boot, it felt like a suction pulled my foot into the boot perfectly! The insole felt much like a running shoe and the boots felt great all around! I have worn these boots for three days straight and they have become my go-to shoes of choice! The moral of the story - don't judge them before you try them. They fit me as expected and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a pair of boots that can be worn all day without any pain.

Don S: I’ll start with it’s been years for me to be back in boots . I could never find a good fit . I would say I have a fairly narrow foot but redwing store measurement was 12D on right foot and a strong 11 1/2 D on left foot. ( I bought redwing as well )
Getting foot in was a real pain , like I was thinking I’ll never get these off hard . Was really tight on instep. After they were on I’m like I hate these they are too tight. I’ll don’t return items that I bought wrong size of so I figured I’ll wear them and see. I’m so glad I did. Took 4 days of on and walking in them to loosen up. Some my fault I didn’t condition the leather ,I forgot that was needed . Now they are still tight getting on and off but either it’s stretching or I’m getting stronger 😀.
At this point day 5 they have a nice pop when foot is seated and little what I would consider perfect fit heal slip . Like it only moves the tiny bit that it should. I love them . Still stiff uppers but I’m working them and I do enjoy wearing. Not putting on or taking off yet but no blisters at all .
When they loosen up they are nice and soft. Once the uppers soften up and they are but I’m hand working...
