I got this a year ago for my daughters turtle tank. I like it because you can lay it on it's side so that you don't need an entire tank of water. I dislike this product because it is difficult to get the pieces apart to clean it. The filters can't really be rinsed and reused much so buy extra filters. I would buy again.

I have this in my ten gallon and works great. I did have to get a bubbler for the other end but I think that's normal and good. I couldn't find cartridges for it so bought the filter sheet that I can cut to fit and I love it. You can save so much money by doing that. Got one for my dad's 5 gallon and he loves it.

The product comes with the missing air control, seller replaced it quickly. The replacement unit died after 2.5 month of use, seller offer another replacement.

Got my new filters and everything looks good. I worried about one it’s package looked like it had been opened and everything taken out. So I went in worried. That same filter made a buzzing sound for a bit but after some time it quieted down so going to wait and see. I bought 2 and the other is so much quieter then my last filters and this is giving more flow to my tank.

The title pretty much says it. I like that the filter can be submerged. There is also the option to allow air to be included with the filtered water. The air-flow valve can be adjusted to allow for quite a bit of air to be added to the water -- as much as my air stone. Does this make the air stone redundant and unnecessary? Possibly, but for the time being I'll continue using it. [Note that the user manual mentions nothing about this product replacing the air stone. Perhaps as more users write reviews there might be a consensus on this.] I would also add that the user manual is easy to understand. The bottom line: I'm very impressed with this filter-pump.
Edit: after using the filter for a few weeks, I've noted that the air-bubble function no longer works. Meaning that air bubbles are no longer introduced into the water from the submerged filter. The filter itself still functions properly -- no problem there, but I would no longer consider this filter as a replacement for an air stone.
