I inserted an SD card with about 10GB of music. It shuffles through about 6 songs. And re-shuffling? Same 6 songs. Always. I haven't tried deleting them to see if they change, but it's "random" generation is not random.

The automatic antenna output doesn't work. RCAs are there but they don't work, either.

Once you leave CarPlay, your music continues to play, but going back into carplay re-initializes the connection to your iOS device and resets the music. This means you can't adjjust audio settings without interrupting everything for a bit while it reloads when you want to change to the next song, for example. It's pretty annoying.

The pro is that it's cheap. You get what you pay for.

Dawn Gross: Not happy with the stereo. Bought it for my daughter’s Jeep Liberty. Installed it per instructions. Display only works while in park, once in drive the screen goes out and the volume goes up and down. Because I didn’t install it right away and now I have missed the return window, we are out of luck for getting money back. We would be happy if we could get it working.

Aminique: The media could not be loaded.  Update! I was sent files to update my system. Things turned out great afterwards! If you have an older vehicle and can’t find the hardware to turn a single din into a double… Then this is the stereo system for you! It has multiple options for connecting which I love.

Disappointed in this stereo. I love it for the design ie. turning a single din into a double without making modifications to my dash. After only 3 months it has been freezing and not playing any sound. There isn’t any way to reset it without pulling the whole system out or turning my vehicle off and on. But who wants to do all that? It’s become such a pain. It sucks that it stopped working after the 30 days otherwise I’d return it asap

henry: Did exactly what I needed, and when I ran into installation trouble I actually got a reply email.

In case anyone runs into the same problem I had:

The backup cam was working fine while the car was off, but it went to a black screen when the engine was running.

While the engine is running, the alternator charges the battery at 14v instead of 12v, so I knew that had to be part of the issue somehow.
In order to get the automatic switching to work for the backup cam, I spliced into the reverse lights to send the signal to the pink wire on the back of the stereo.

I realized that even when the car is running, the reverse lights only get 12v because the lightbulbs last longer if the voltage doesn't change often. So the problem was that I was sending 12v to the pink wire, but the red/yellow wire powering the stereo was at 14v. Evidently, they must be pretty close in voltage in order for the auto switch to work properly. I fixed the problem by adding a relay so I could send the same 14v down the pink wire.
