MH: With a 22" inch deep Reef tank, I needed a glass scrapper with a good length on the handle. This was the longest one I could find. My hand still gets wet, but I can now reach the hard to reach nooks behind some of my rocks.

J Prairie: I foud the tool easy enough to use, and it does what it ssys it will. Quality is good, easy to use. But for me using once in 3 months, sort of a waste of money.
When you are just starting out this is not necessary, probably not necessary at all.
Only used one time, and honestly you could use a plastic credit card to scrape algea off.
More importantly if your tank is always green your not doing something correct and need to resolve the problem.

jagsombra: I have a tall bowfront tank and wanted something to keep my elbows dry with algae scraping.
This thing is totally worth the price vs the cheaper options.
Maybe because this is specifically for glass, but it's very effective. A couple swipes and the algae is off. Then a nice big water change.

Will BWill B: This is by a country mile the best algae cleaner I’ve purchased for my 700L reef tank.
The cleaner is robust and the handle doesn’t bend allowing the user to put pressure onto the pad. It’s great at cleaning algae, salt build up and makes a perfect job of keeping my black background clean.
The handle is long, however the depth of my tank is pretty large which doesn’t stop me from getting wet. The pad itself is quite big and doesn’t quite get down to clean the algae immediately above the sand bed without disturbing the sand which I choose not to do but it gets pretty close. It does a great job of cleaning the algae on the corners of the glass and is well worthy of five stars.
