Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: We bought this for our last trip to Florida with our Jeep. Prior to our move bought and left it in the Jeep that we had left behind since we couldn’t take with us during our move.
We just took the trip and arrived yesterday in Florida. The drive Should’ve only taken no more than 14 hours. Our first stop after two hours we checked on the bag on top of the jeep it started shredding. Our trip took 19 hours from continuously having to stop and bungee cord it down as it kept shredding and rippingFrom wind and rain. The liner of the bag shredded which caused the fabric to thin out and shred a part. We panicked not knowing what to do afraid of losing our things and damaging it from the wind and rain. We were light on this bag to take our things to Florida and we couldn’t even count on it making it halfway there. What is one to do during a long trip when you rely on something that fails. Don’t waste your money I only regret of purchasing this prior to us leavingAnd I can’t return it now even though I’ve only used it once. So angry and disappointed it ruined my things damaged.

Laura D: I was surprised by how much fit into the bag for our trip from Phoenix to Orlando. The installation was fairly easy although we had a some trouble with it sliding backwards. We finally stopped and purchased a strap with a rachet system to go all the way around the bag through the car door and out the other side. No more slipping. The front corner of the bag did tear on our second day and continued to fray. Some items got wet because of the tear. It was fine for this trip but I would not be able to use it again.

Sarah McKelvey: I drove over 3000 miles with the cargo bag on my car, in a little over a week. Even with a double layer of tarps, a cargo net and several tie-downs with bungee and a ratchet, it still started to tear at the inside weatherproofing layer after just the first day. I suggest the tarps to help with waterproofing. It held up overall, but its lucky I didn't run into too much rain. Their was a little moisture inside the bag, but not a large amount to ruin anything inside. The velcro part of the ties on the bag were useful, as I used the extra length to wrap around the roof rack to secure it more before velcroing it in place. Comes with a small rubbery mesh mat for under the bag so it doesn't shift as easily on the roof. It still survived the trip across the country, and had decent space, for the price I got it for. I was able to fit a military duffle, 2 carryon bags (with wheels) and another large dufflebag with wheels inside, when packed right. I had to load and unload everyday, but the task wasn't as bad as it could've been.

Colleen Fitzgerald: This cargo hold held tons of clothing blankets for a move from Colorado all the way to South Carolina we drove and then continue to stay on top of the roof for another week. It was very durable waterproof and stayed on without any ripping! I was sceptical at first but then got it on took a chance and it worked great!! I bought two one for me and one for my sister.

Carl: Just finished a 2000 mile trip with a few hundred miles of it in rain and snow with no problems. Bag was strapped down in a roof rack. Average traveling speed was 75mph. Zipper is a little stiff because of it's water proof design. Take your time while zipping it closed ( don't force it ).
