The snowfall affect never worked. It would run for maybe 10 minutes and then just stop. We tried everything but I believe I got a faulty one.

The media could not be loaded.
The snowfall looks good and the slowest speed is the best looking. If it went one step slower I think that might be better. It seemed to turn itself off after 6 hours which was fine for me so we planned on turning it on each evening. I thought my wife was turning it on every night but then she asked me what the random remote was sitting on our table. I went out to check the light and it was off but every night its been turning itself on! I hadn't read the instructions for the remote so I thought the 6hr timer just turned it off after 6hrs but it will turn itself back on after 18hrs and stay on for 6hrs. Unexpected and I'm impressed. I'll add a video after it gets dark.

Surprisingly pleasing falling snow effect projected upon house. Bright enough to be seen late dusk, early evening. Not sure about durability of plastic. I'll use it again next season, and we'll see. Very easy to set up. Good wide angle light distribution. Remote control saves going out in the cold to shut off (has an automatic shut off timer).

PROS:
- Remote actually worked
- Variable snow settings were nice
- The "flakes" looked more diffused and not like the geometric grid of perfectly placed SQUARES that cheaper models display
- Flakes were whiter than the usual light blue others show
- Nicely packaged
CONS:
- Not bright enough to show through my other outdoor lighting. If this is your only display and there is no other ambient light it should work better for you. I was trying to use it to fill a relatively dark spot in my yard but other lighting, however dim, was too much for it.
- When turned off it loses its settings. I turned it on and the snow speed was not as I previously set it, for example.
- The flakes are still HUGE like most of these snowfall lights. Even 10' from the house and it looks like large blobs instead of the smaller blobs needed to simulate snow falling.
- You must choose between 2, 4, or 6 hour settings. Perhaps so it doesn't overheat? The rest of my displays are on darkness sensor switches with timers and this one would not...
