ANYCUBIC Mega S 3D Printer with Upgraded Metal Frame FDM Technology

Charlie: after only having it a few days I got a really bad clog using their anycubic filament on a print I've done dozens of times on my other printers. I ended up having to take the whole hot end apart to fix the clog and now it only actually properly levels the bed about half the time. the prints are also now worse then my 5+ year old printer and it can only do a half decent job printing less than 100mm and it's still very hit or miss.

I've wasted an entire roll of filament trying to fix the issue, taken the hot end apart multiple times now trying to fix the the issues and it still doesn't work.

the worst part is I have the anycubic resin printers and wash and cure stations and was excepting the same build quality out of this machine as with those ones but I think the quality control missed mine.

update: was given a full refund for my troubles. they also offered to send a new hot end to replace mine but I didn't really want to try and trouble shoot a brand new machine. I would still recommend passing on this one but maybe the pro version would be a better buy. the customer service is great though so if you do take the risk on this one you won't be left high and dry...

larry h.: I really like the auto level feature. It would be great if it would automatically set the Z offset but it is not a big deal to manually set it.

My main disappointment is the mishandling of pause both from the control screen and from gcode files. It gets stuck waiting for the buffer to empty. There are work around on line.

Keith Myers: The media could not be loaded.  This is my second printer, I bought it because it was supposed to be fast, but the first on locked up and became unresponsive within a week and now the second ones SD card slot no longer locks? So glad these issues happened within the 30 days? Afraid to find out how the customer service is with this company. Sad too cause I really like the printer, only on failed print since I've used it? Back to the drawing board I guess.
(update) ever since my initial review Anycubic has reached out to me personally, to resolve the situation. And they have been spot on, punctual emails with immediate reply. Going above and beyond to make sure I'm satisfied. I know no product is perfect, but I can rock with Anycubic all day because of their top notch customer service. 5 stars for the fumble recovery! Keep up the good work guys.

Jonathan B. Ott: I purchased this 3D Printer on 22 May 2020 and expected, due to the pandemic and general panic going on in the world, for it to take a couple months to show up on my doorstep. Low and behold, 12 days later, it arrived. Due to work schedules and such, I didn't get to open it up for about 10 days, but a look at the box told me it had not received any shipping damage; the box was well secured and was not beat up in any way. This was a major relief to me, as an instrument such as a 3D printer should be square in all dimensions in order to produce the expected results of said precision apparatus.

Okay, so I guess the point of this review is that this is a great entry level 3D printer. I had it up and printing my first test print within an hour of unboxing. I read the directions, I preheated the bed, I leveled the bed, and I cleaned the bed (and the nozzle…it had residue on it from the factory test…) then ran my first print, and it worked like a champ.

Yes, I have had a failed print or three (on one (I think it was the knobs) the cooling fan stopped somewhere between the third and fifth layer, causing the model to lift and warp like a Pringles crisp, but I checked all...

TrueMOD: Habe im Flash Sale zugeschlagen. Naja, eigentlich sollte meine Frau mich davon abhalten, aber für den Preis von 350 Euro konnte auch Sie nicht widerstehen.
Der Drucker kam sehr gut verpackt, sogar einen Tag früher als angekündigt. Am Gewicht merkte man schon, dass hier wohl nicht sonderlich viel Plastik zum Einsatz kommt.
Die größte "Kritik" gleich vorweg:
Laut Produktbeschreibung soll das Teil mit lediglich 8 Schrauben in nur 2 Minuten montierbar sein. Nach dem ich jetzt meinen aufgebaut habe, könnte ich den nächsten sicherlich in zwei Minuten aufbauen, das erste Mal jedoch dauerte etwas länger. Es sind schon ein paar mehr als 8 Schrauben, nicht wesentlich, aber 8 sind es halt nicht. Dazu kommt, dass die Anleitung komplett auf Englisch ist, was für mich jetzt kein Problem darstellt, vor dem Kauf aber beachtet werden sollte. Noch verwirrender ist dann einfach nur, wenn man schon im Vorfeld feststellt, dass ein teil dabei ist, welches so in der Anleitung gar nicht auftaucht. Mit ein wenig Überlegen kommt man dann darauf, dass es nur der Filamentsensor sein kann, der eben mittlerweile deutlich anders aussieht, als in der Anleitung. Trotz dieser "Probleme" gelang...

Client d'AmazonClient d'Amazon: The media could not be loaded.  Je fais ce commentaire pour vous faire part de mon ressenti avec la I3 MEGA d'Anycubic
que je viens tout juste de recevoir. C'est vraiment une imprimante très utile que ce soit pour faire des objets de déco ou des objets conçu à l'aide de logiciels comme solidworks (j'ai par exemple pu imprimer un contour de micro de ma guitare pour 0.27e selon CURA au lieu de 30e sur le site du constructeur... donc les applications possibles sont énorme). Je vais expliquer ce qui à mon sens fait de la MEGA une super imprimante.

La première des choses que l'on remarque c'est l'emballage. L'imprimante est placée dans un gros carton rempli de protections solides où chaque chose a une place bien spécifique et tout est très bien protégé. On sent vraiment le soin apporté par le constructeur.
Une fois le carton ouvert on se retrouve avec deux parties dans lesquelles reposent la base de l’imprimante, le portique plus les quelques accessoires inclus:

- Une spatule
- Une bobine de 1Kg de pla
- Des outils
- Un manuel version papier et en couleur
- Quelques pièces détachées telles que des capteurs de position et un...

Thomas K.Thomas K.: Ich habe den Drucker im Januar 2018 als Ersatz für einen enttäuschendes Model der Konkurrenz gekauft. Verkäufer war "Anycubic Technology", geliefert wurde, gewohnt zügig, durch Amazon.

Beim Auspacken stellte ich sehr schnell fest, dass es recht viel Zubehör gibt:
- mehrere einfache Gabel- und Inbusschlüssel, sowie ein Schraubendreher
- einen Elektronikseitenschneider für das Filament
- Gummihandschuhe um sich - laut Anleitung - beim Zusammenbau vor den geölten Teilen zu schützen, es ging auch ohne sie
- einen SD-Kartenleser und eine Micro-SD-Karte mit 8GB und ein Adapter auf normale Größe
- ein Hotend und einen Endschalter als Ersatzteil
- 1 kg schwarzes PLA-Filament
- eine Filament-Halter

Die Anleitung war in Englisch und überraschend gut. Sie führte gut durch die einzelnen Schritte der Inbetriebnahme und begann mit einigen Links zu Youtube-Videos, in denen man sich die wichtigsten Vorgänge noch einmal ansehen kann.

Der Zusammenbau soll laut Hersteller in 5 (manchmal schreiben Sie sogar in 2) Minuten erledigt sein. Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass ein erfahrener Techniker des Herstellers das schafft, aber ein wenig mehr...

Amazon Customer: Ich habe diesen Drucker am 10. August 2017 gekauft und nun rund 2 Monate im Gebrauch.
Für die Preis Leistung gibt es von mir die vollen Sternchen.

Dies ist mein erster 3D Drucker und kann leider keine vergleiche anstellen aber zumindest Stolpersteine aufzeigen.

Ich möchte vorweg schreiben das er echt Super ist und die nachfolgenden dinge nicht missverstanden sein sollten, es dient für Neukunden bzw. 3D Druck Anfänger wie ich, die sich ein paar negative Phasen ersparen sollen.

Bevor ich einiges anmerke doch noch ein paar Sachen die ich besonders klasse fand bzw. finde.
- Ersatz Druckkopf (Düse, Heizelement, Schlauch; fertig montiert) dabei (Leider ohne Verbindungsschraube)
- Spezielle Werkzeuge: Spachtel (Leicht angewinkelt), Pinzette (Spitz), Scharfer Seidenschneider (Perfekt für Nasen etc.), und diverse Werkzeuge und 1 Satz Wegwerfhandschuhe (Pinzette und Spachtel unverzichtbar und bei mir immer in Gebrauch; Seidenschneider Super Tool und möchte ich auch nicht missen)
- schnelles Montieren: ca. 10 min Drucker; ca. 20 min Folie vom Filamenthalter entfernen; 10min Justieren des Druckbetts (Im Nachhinein: meiner Meinung nach war das schon...

Der Zusammenbau des Druckers geht wirklich einfach und ist in ein paar Minuten erledigt. Auf Youtube gibt es dazu ein Video in dem das Schritt für Schritt gezeigt wird. Dazu einfach "Anycubic" bei Youtube eingeben.
Der fertige Aufbau wirkt stabil und solide.

Zubehör:
Beim Zubehör ist alles dabei was man für die ersten Test-Drucke benötigt.
- SD Karte. U.a. mit der Software Cura, einer kurzen Anleitung, einer Bespiel-Druckdatei
- USB SD Karten Adapter
- PLA Filament zum Testen und ein Filament-Rollen-Halter
- Diverses Werkzeug wie Spachtel, Inbusschlüssel, Schraubenzieher usw.
- Ein Ersatz-Hotend-Set

Features:
Der Drucker bietet einige Funktionen die ich ansonsten nur bei wesentlich teureren Geräten gesehen habe. Besonders begeistert bin ich von dem Touch-Display. Bei den meisten Druckern muss man umständlich über einen Drehknopf navigieren. Hier funktioniert das über einen Touchscreen, so wie man es auch von einem Smartphone gewohnt ist.An der Vorderfront ist eine Klebefolie angebracht die auch einen transparenten Displayschutz beinhaltet....
