Sherrie A MuldoonSherrie A Muldoon: I am fairly new to 3D printing. Bought this printer because it's the same one we use at work, which is where I learned to use it. It was easy to set up, and I was printing fairly quickly. The prints were great. Until it quit. I had printed a 9 hour job on a Saturday with no problems. Sunday morning, I tried to print the same job, using the same filament. After I leveled it and set the Z Offset, I started the job. The extruder mechanism made a horrible grinding noise and would not extrude filament. The gears wouldn't turn, the filament wouldn't extrude, it just made that horrid grinding noise. I tried everything I could think of: unloaded the filament, re-loaded it, cleaned the extruder nozzle, etc. Spent most of Sunday morning on the internet, trying to find a solution. I discovered that this seems to be a fairly common problem and seems to happen frequently. I'm not going to take it apart because that skill is NOT in my performance envelope. I shouldn't have to disassemble and repair something this expensive that has only been used 9 times. I'm also not going to buy replacement parts that may or may not work, even IF I could find someone to install them. (Again, mechanical skills...

Amazon Kunde: Ich habe mir ohne allzu viel Vorwissen den 3D Drucker, quasi als Einsteiger im Bereich 3D Druck, zugelegt und würde es jederzeit wieder tun. Sehr einfach zum Zusammenbauen, die Anleitung erklärt das auch gut, da gab es überhaupt keine Probleme. Für Einsteiger ist er also sehr gut geeignet. Probleme hatte ich bis jetzt kaum. Um die Haftung zu erhöhen habe ich mir eine Matte dafür gekauft nach ca. einem halben Jahr, da die Haftung ein wenig schlechter geworden ist. Allerdings war das bis jetzt auch das einzige und es wäre auch nicht unbedingt nötig gewesen. Die Drucke werden sehr gut, Preis Leistung finde ich spitze und ich würde ihn sofort wieder kaufen als ersten Drucker. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Warnhinweis: Der Drucker kommt wie gewohnt gut verpackt und sicher an. Der Zusammenbau ist alleine etwas fummelig, da man den Kran (in englisch Gantry) mit je 4 schrauben links und rechts am Gehäuse fixieren muss und das Ding recht schwer und wackelig ist. Die Kabel sind leicht zu verbinden und auch verwechslungssicher. Der Drucker ist nicht wirklich leise und der Ventilator macht ordentlich Lärm. In einem geschlossenen Gehäuse geht es aber ohne bleibt man nicht gerne lange im selben Raum. Das Einstellen des Druckbettes (Leveln, eigentlich Nivelieren) ist etwas arbeit, da man den Druckkopf per Hand verschieben muss und dabei sehr aufpassen muss, dass die Düse das Druckbett nicht zerkratzt wenn der Abstand zu gering ist. Mein Drucker hatte eine leichte Wölbung in der Mitte nach oben was erst nach mehrmaligem Erhitzen des Druckbettes nachgelassen hat (zum Glück) ab dem Zeitpunkt war es plan und die erste Druckschicht sehr gut und gleichmässig. PLA haftet auf der Druckplatte hervorragend und PETG geht mit Brim (Umrandung des Drucks) auch sehr gut ohne Warping (Verformung des Druckes durch Haftungsverlust am Druckbett). G. Sterling: Ich hatte vorher noch gar keine Erfahrungen mit 3D-Druck und habe mich auch nicht viel informiert. Ich hatte lediglich Anycubic-Drucker als gute Einsteigergeräte empfohlen bekommen und dass alles wichtige dabei sei inkl. SD-Karte und das stimmt auch. Klar habe ich mir noch einiges an Zubehör wie Feilen, Reinigungsmittel und dergleichen inzwischen dazugekauft, aber notwendig für den grundsätzlichen Betrieb sind diese nicht. Man kann also beruhigt zugreifen und losdrucken.

❗GANZ WICHTIG❗: Der MEGA-X verbraucht enorm viel Platz. Ich hatte mich lediglich an den Produkabmessungen orientiert und einen passenden Schrank gekauft. Nun, jetzt steht der Drucker oben drauf statt darin. Das Druckbett fährt nämlich beim Druck nach vorne und hinten und ragt weit über die DImensionen des Gerätes hinaus. Das hätte man vorher auch einfach ausrechnen können, aber das habe ich leider nicht getan.

Breite (ohne die Filamentspulenhalter): 55cm
Höhe: 56cm
Tiefe: 65cm

Das Gerät muss hinten mindestens 10cm Platz haben, da sonst die Druckeplatte gegen die Wand stößt und das Getriebe dann sehr ungesund...

Daniel CadwellDaniel Cadwell: Overall I would say this is a good printer, but starting out i did run into some issues.

ISSUES:
First issue i found was the heat bed cableling. They had decided to ancor the cable to the right rear tensioning bolt/spring. I don't know what the person was thinking on that one, but i removed the ziptie and ancored it off the bottom center of the frame that the buildplate sits on. With how it was previously, it put strain on the heatbed wires, and with repeated use would result in damage to the wires; as well as messing up the spring tension on that corner. (last 2 pictures show this)

Second issue was the bed leveling. I spent 40 minutes trying to level with the assisted leveling sensor. And still had no luck. I stretched thet springs out because some were really cranked down from the shipping process; and i tried adjusting the frame. I ended up having another person come over and try their hand at leveling it. They managed to get it to be level enough to be functional; but they did comment that the bed felt out of wack. (second picture shows results before leveling)

Third issue was the cable sheething. To be honest I undid all the sheething that was put on...

giorgiogiorgio: Stampa comprata ad Aprile per avere un aiuto veloce contro la pandemia, dopo averla usata per mesi ormai posso dire che è un macchinario valido, anche se con limiti e complicazioni che possono essere frustranti:

MONTAGGIO
Comodo e chiaro. In mezza giornata sono riuscito a montarla e a fare una stampa di prova da tre ore. Nessun problema riscontrato. Ben rifornita la confezione, non solo per la bobina di plastica ma anche e soprattutto per gli strumenti di manutenzione.

PRECISIONE DI STAMPA
Accettabile, anche se la precisione massima rimane 0.1mm. Volevo fare delle stampe con precisione 0.05mm che però, anche se il programma lo consentiva, si è rilevata non solo inesistente ma anche controproducente (la piramide con la punta "a bisognino", nella foto, era venuta senza problemi tenendo 0.1mm, e con lo stesso spessore dei layer).
I supporti a blocchi che dà inoltre, a volte li trovo scomodi da rimuovere rispetto a quelli "a ramo" delle altre stampanti che avevo usato (foto della valvola di Isinnova viola). Spero sia solo una questione di abitudine.
