Kmdubbs: We have 2 of these hammocks now. We started with one for my boyfriend, it hangs in our backyard, and I finally decided I needed one too. They are super light weight but haven't had any holes or tears in them yet. They are really easy to hang, take down, move, etc. And having the double sized one is perfect! You can wrap yourself up in it to keep the bugs away or 2 people can lay in it. I think they are well worth the price, it's actually a really great deal. I would buy more if I had a need for more.

This is a great hammock, easy to setup and easy to pack back into the attached stuff-sack. I've only used it a few times, so far, but it seems to be sturdily built, and I expect it to last for many more camping seasons. The strap loops give you a lot of adjustment options, and they're really a game changer - no fussing with extra ropes and straps. With the hammock and straps tucked into the stuff sack, it's pretty compact, but if you're looking for a hammock to take backpacking, this one might be a bit bulkier/heavier than you would want. However, I love double hammocks like this, because the roominess for a single user equates to added comfort; you don't feel as "squeezed" at the shoulders and can also pull the extra material around you, like a burrito, for shade.

The first thing I noticed about the hammock was its light weight. It comes in at just under 2 pounds and everything fits into the stuff sack sewn to the hammock. There is a compression strap sewn to the bag, and it all packs down relatively small.
When you open the bag, the first thing you'll find is the set of 10-foot long tree straps. They have plenty of spots for the included wire gate carabiners, so adjustment shouldn't be a problem. The straps are sturdy, and all the stitching on them is well executed. They're rated for 600 lbs, so you shouldn't have any issues with breakage during normal use.
The hammock itself is made from parachute material, and while lightweight it remains plenty strong enough to support your average camper and then some since the single size hammock is rated for 500 pounds. I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 300 pounds, and I had NO trouble resting comfortably in the double-sized hammock. All the stitching is perfectly done with no runoffs, and all seams and hems are almost boringly even.

L.Nabinger: This hammock is fantastic quality! I was really surprised at how nice the seams were put together and the tree savers are some of the better tree straps that I have used! The double hammock was a bit big for my liking though so I was going to return the product for a smaller and lighter hammock. Upon reading about their guarantee I contacted the company directly instead of doing a typical return. Customer service from AnorTrek is top notch!! They were fast to respond and offered that I keep the double hammock and that they would send me one of the new super lightweight ones for free (I had explained in my initial email that the hammock was great, just too big and bulky for what I wanted it for). I thought it was too good to be true, but a couple of weeks later (due to having to wait for the lighter hammock to be in stock) they delivered!! The super lightweight hammock is also just as great of quality as the double and fit my needs better. I would order from this company again in a heartbeat! Great products and great customer service.

Granite CrusherGranite Crusher: I'll be honest. I'm very new to the hammock world, so I didn't want to break the bank when purchasing a hammock. The price is what initially grabbed my attention.

So I purchased the double, as I am 6' 4", 230lbs. Not the littlest guy walking the wilderness. The double provides plenty of room and yet it packs down to the size of a small cantaloupe. I was a little nervous sitting in something made of relatively thin material, but after having spent some time moving around, changing positions, bouncing and swinging, I'd say it has the durability to last many seasons.

I was most surprised at how easy it was to hang. I've watched a handful of hammock videos and although they all seem about the same in terms of time and difficultly, the AnorTrek was much simpler than I imagined.

This is certainly the meat of a hammock camping sleep system and will require adding a rain tarp, under-quilt, etc. to complete your setup, but this is a great place to start. If you are interested in testing the waters in hammock camping, Anor Trek is a great quality hammock at an amazing price to start that process.
