SANDEEP: It is astonishing that a teenage girl can think in such a matured way. It is heart touching, painful to read how the innocent people suffered during the Holocaust. Couldn't hold my tears as the WW-II has nipped away so many buds, without a chance to flower. I fell in love with Anne Frank for her strength of mind, boldness, truthfulness, sense of humor and hope in humanity amidst the horrible situations she was in. Loved this diary with all my heart and soul.

Taya: This is one of my most favourite books to read ever since i was a child at school (now 42). This is based on a detailed TRUE STORY of her diary, of the life during the war of this girl and her family in the WAR, the book is detailed in every way and even has a plan of how they lived. Her REAL diary is actually in a museum in Amsterdam to this day as a dedication to her, if get the chance to go see it, do so. Once you start reading this book, its very hard to put down as you get emotionally involved as you read along. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ITS A FANTASTIC READ.

Stuart M.: A few people have commented on the quality of the paper. I can't say I share their complaints. To me it's just like any other penguin classic in my collection.
Now let me get on to the important bit...the book itself.

An important read for older children and adults alike, this timeless classic is as powerful and poignant today as it ever was. I hadn't read this book since my early teens, but now that I'm in my 50's, something made me want to pick it up again. I can't quite explain it. A few years of extra maturity has given me even greater insight on this second reading.
It's really quite humbling and inspiring, the way that through her diary, a quite ordinary young girl speaks to us directly from her heart, touching us with her wit, her humour, her cheerful outlook and intelligence in the face of overwhelming events. And all of this communicated to us with an honesty and sincerity unparalleled by writers far above her years. Anne has a unique ability to make us laugh with joy and to make our hearts ache with each turn of the page.
It makes us wish could step back in time and spare her from the horrors that engulfed the world. But alas, all we have of Anne Frank...

Don G. Baumhardt: Throughout the book there are misspellings--"die" for "the", "diem" for "them," "unfeathers" for "unfamiliar"'
"carthung" for "coming" and so on. Still easily readable, but irritating. Also, a few missing sentences--
the first word followed by a big blank. Maybe more than a sentence is missing! The editors or whoeveer
should treat the diary with more respect and care.
