Wrigley: After purchasing this this bike, I have used it for 2 summers and only charged the battery up 4 x and it no longer will hold charge.

BradleyCWABradleyCWA: We've now done 4 ebike vacations where we've gone camping or stayed in an airbnb to go bike riding in the area. For the most part it has been different parts of the centennial trail or specific bike trails. At 61 and being out of shape I knew I needed an ebike. The plan is to work myself up to the point where I'm using very little PAS. Currently 90% of my trip is set at 0 for PAS which is full electric... I'm very out of shape! But with each ride I push myself harder to use less PAS.

Overall I really like the ebike. My ONLY complaint is the distance I'm getting on the battery... only 10 miles. The info above said I should get between 26-30 miles on pure electric (throttle mode). I'm less than half that. Our last ride was right at 10 miles and the last bar was flashing. Meanwhile my partner Laura's ebike was only down 1 bar! I'm seriously jealous of the distance Laura has on her ebike (Soumye 48V500W13AH 20" x4.0 Folding Fat Tire Snow E-Bike Mountain Electric Bicycle Beach Cruiser Foldable Bike).

She specifically wanted the step through and fat tires which were the driving force for her ebike. The Slope and Distance were the main driving force for the ebike I selected...

Alex: Also ich war überrascht.
Hab mich für die 48V Variante entschieden und knapp 950 Eineuromünzen hingeblättert.

Verpackung - top
Aufbau - wenig, alles vormontiert. Vorderrad, Lenker, Pedale, Reflektoren und Licht dranschrauben, Akku laden (4h), 3bar Luft drauf ( 1,8bar waren schon drauf, reicht aber nicht) und dann ging es los.
40 Km gefahren ( A..tat n bissl weh vom Sattel.. :-) ).
- Geringe Steigung ( fast nur flach), geteerte Feld- und Radwege, 5Km durch den Wald und Kleinstadtverkehr (Ampeln, Autos, Fußgänger, Grünenwähler..) und Gegenwind. -
5 Stufen, Stufe 5 mit vollem Akku, bringt gute 26Km/h laut Tacho... nach 40 Km und einem Balken weniger, nur noch 24Km/h.
Gefahren bin ich mit permanent wechselnden Stufen.
Ich bin nicht trainiert und über 10 Jahre kein Fahrrad mehr gefahren...also ein Schlappi :-D
Beim Anfahren mit der Schaltung und den Stufen gearbeitet, Bis auf 25Km/h, dann 2 Stufen runter und versucht das Tempo zu halten (bisschen trainieren eben ;-) ).
Dann bei Bedarf wieder auf Stufe 4 und 5.
Das gut 25 Km in der Art durchgezogen. Die letzten 15Km dann fast nur in Stufe 5 gefahren :-).

Dale GenslerDale Gensler: I have owned this bike for a few weeks now and so far have put 140 miles on it according to the built-in computer. My primary use for this bike is for getting around Boston since I don't drive and the T is always crowded. Over this time I have made some observations about each component found on this bike, here is what I have to say.

Initial assembly:
This bike comes in a very, very large box since it comes mostly assembled, only the front wheel and handlebar needs to be attached using the included tools. I also unpacked the battery and charger first to get the battery charging while I put everything together. The package shipped from California all the way to Mass so I was a bit worried the condition it would arrive in. The box arrived with one hole in it and it was the guard over the rear derailer was bent inwards, it was easily bent back out and no damage was done. The gears do need to be tuned out of the box, and since I am new to that, I took this bike to a local shop to have everything checked over and tuned properly.

The Battery/Motor:
due to my height (6'3), I opted for the Blue Spark model which has bigger wheels and also a bigger battery and motor...
