Ira Tsygan: I bought this cooktop primarily to try induction to help decide the cooking method for a new home I'm building. I'm super impressed. It combines best from electric and gas ranges. it is as fast heating and instantly reacting on the power adjustments as gas and as clean as electric. The induction cooktop has additional advantages- no wasted heat, cool and easy to clean surface. And the price for such modern miracle is simply fantastic. This is truly another generation of cooking.
I found the temperature control puzzling- it will happily boil water even when set to 140F.

eva: L'ho acquistata più di due anni fa, e nonostante l'utilizzo quotidiano e ancora come nuova, è un'ottima soluzione per avvicinarsi al sistema a induzione.
Unico neo il tasto di blocco dei comandi che si "sblocca" con facilità, nel mio caso più di una volta lo ha fatto il gatto di casa, il problema è se sulla piastra è presente un tegame.

Amazon Customer: I have waited for ages to get a single induction cooktop and was excited to try it out. I have used it about a dozen times now and have found it of somewhat limited utility - there is no "simmer" setting! It's either at 140F (which is a safe "keep warm" temp) or 212F (full boil) or higher. So if you have something say that you want to simmer gently for 45 minutes this is NOT the product for you. I was really wanting to use this for cooking down tomato sauce etc, where I could just set it at a low simmer (say, 180F) for X amount of time and forget it. As stated above there's no temperature between a full, rolling boil and "steam table"/keep warm temp so unless you are going to stand over it and stir constantly it's useless unless you are only doing hot sauteing/frying. I wish I had known this before because I wouldn't have purchased this item. The only upside is that it's very easy to clean when you inevitably boil something over.

ajg007: I wish amazon would allow us to to do half stars as I'd give this four & a half stars out of five!(i round down out of protest lol). My first experiment was to boil eggs in water - the pan was more or less boiling just over a minute (small pot). You could see the water changing even after 20 seconds, even on a high heat on gas it would have been 1-2 minutes before you saw the water starting to heat. The Hob has two modes of cooking, temperature or wattage. Wattage seems to allow more finer heating control which does help.

The only reason I've not given it five out of five is that getting things to simmer is impossible (for me anyway). - but that is probably nothing to do with the brand but maybe the technical ability of induction hobs at this price point. Maybe hobs in the £100-£200 would simmer better but its maybe a technical incapability of induction cooking - I don't know enough about induction to make even an educated guess.

I like this hob and it heats better and faster than my electric stove, the later taking what felt like 10 minutes to boil water! The hob is now my go to way of cooking even with the simmer issue. When i move home and have a choice of...
