captronalan: I thought it didn't work; a copper bottom strongly magnetic pot did nothing. Got cast iron and magnetic stainless steel without copper bottom and they seem to work fine. Don't know how it can sense the copper clad?? Touch controls take a little getting used to. Two wire 220v will work without a ground when no metal exposed to user. Get a competent electrician if you don't know what you are doing. A bit noisy when running. Got on sale for $99. Will see how long it lasts.

Richard.: Quite frankly, the majority of induction cookers are grossly overpriced.
They are presumably elling to customers who want the very best and for whom the price is irrelevant.
Not too much argument there. Induction is the very best.
Hopefully, prices will moderate as induction becomes more popular and mainstream.

For now, though, this cooktop is remarkably good for a very reasonable price. The price is about 1/4 of the ones that I was initially looking at. This review is for the 36 inch version.

Although I am giving this a 5-star rating, let me first say what it won't do and why some should not buy it.
It will not do a precise simmer. Its power cycling is too coarse for that. It also does not have a temperature control, so you do need to be in charge as you would for most other cookers. If you do not already have a 220V, 40Amp supply to the kitchen (to an electric oven, or cooker for example), then installation may be expensive.

However, if you are not into cooking chocolate, or similar, it does other things very well. That is, it does almost all routine cooking tasks very well.

Lois Karlid: This is our 2nd brand of induction cooktop. Although it says it's the same size as the previous one, it was actually not 36" and therefore, didn't fit in the previous hole. It took a little extra work to build supports, but it's in and looks beautiful. It is also far superior to our previous one as there is virtually zero vibration/whining. It's easy to use and the settings are easy to read. So far, I'm pretty impressed.

Tamara: According to owners manual a small pan should work on middle burner and it doesn’t! Bought all new pots & pans and still can’t get it to work right! If a pan moves then it just stops working! Very disappointed

Tai, Hung ChihTai, Hung Chih: My Last 4 burners cooktop failed after 10 years of use, since I could not find someone to fix it, I started to look for a replacement.
After browsing for a while, I found this handsome cooktop, the layout of the burners is the best among all 4 burners cooktops.
I live in Taiwan, Amazon shipped to Taiwan too, even with shipping and tax, still much cheaper than those I could find in the markets here.
It was easy to install, just make sure the cut out is good for it, connect those wires to 220V power(make sure the breaker is at off position), there you have it.
Most powerful burner is at the center, which is convenient to cook main course while making soup on the side burner.
Easy to clean after use.
I would recommend to anyone who is looking for similar product.

Emir: Escribo la reseña con el propósito de ayudar a quienes viven en México. La parrilla se ve muy buena y muy bonita, pero no esta diseñada para el sistema eléctrico Méxicano, es para sistema electrico Europeo y eso puede ser un peligro o en el mejor de los casos solo puede no funcionar. Trae dos cables, una línea y un neutro, como todo aparato eléctrico, si alguien les dice que no necesita el neutro, tengan cuidado. El problema con tener solo dos cables, es que la parrilla es de 220 y o sea la línea lleva 220 en un cable y el neutro, para quien no sepa muy bien, el sistema mexicano de 220 son dos cables de 110 (127 ahora) y un neutro, por lo que no se deben unir esas lineas o puede ser mortal. Por lo cual, no la recomiendo si viven en México porque puede ser un posible conato de incendio. En mi caso, preferí devolverla y la devolución estuvo en orden y en tiempo... 3 estrellas solo por el buen servicio de devolución

happy.family_4.0happy.family_4.0: Wir haben uns diese Induktionsplatte aus zwei Gründen gekauft:

1. Als Erweiterung wenn der normale Herd nicht ausreicht.
2. Als mobile Platte wenn meine Frau in ihrem Laden einmal eine Herdplatte benötigt.

Die Induktionsplatte kam schnell und gut verpackt bei uns an.
Die Verarbeitung ist gut und macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck.
Die Induktionsplatte ist wesentlich höher als ich gedacht habe - das liegt natürlich auch daran, dass der Lüfter ebenfalls im Unterbau untergebracht werden muss.
Man kann die Platte auf einen Tisch oder eine andere Unterlage stellen oder man kann sie in eine Küchenplatte einbauen - beides ist möglich. Wir haben sie einfach auf die Küchenplatte gestellt, da sie bei uns ja nur als Zusatz gedacht ist.

Die Bedienung ist sehr einfach. Man schaltet die an und wählt welche der beiden Herdplatten man benutzen möchte.
Dann wählt man die Heizstufe ... außerdem gibt es noch eine Timerfunktion und es zeigt an ob ein Topf oder eine Pfanne auf der Platte steht - das war es aber auch schon.
