Amazon Customer: These beans lack flavor, and required a lot of punching up with cumin, ancho chili powder, and salsa Verde to bring them up to the flavor of good refried beans. Even though they are organic, they are not good value for the price. Better to cook your own beans, and spice them to your liking.

PinkJess: Amy is back at it again with beans. I got this because Amazon was out of my favorite Rosarita vegetarian refried beans. I am not completely vegan but I like to eat as vegetarian as possible for my health, which is going down the crapper as I type this review. But that's for another story. Let's get back to the topic . When I first opened this can of beans I was immediately hit with the familiar scent of Frito's famous bean dip, not a bad thing but not exactly what I was expecting either. Still I slathered these beanies on tortillas and made some little part-time ratchet struggle burritos. They were okay, but the spices kind of were too much for my tastes. It's just okay, but I would rather make burritos with a different kind of bean!
