Debra j allender: This is the 4th book in a 4 part series of Amish based books that for the better part take place in a market place where each of 4 female cousins have booths selling wares that are their specialties. One is an exceptional baker. The other has a huge garden and grows some of the best produce in the area. Another cousin has been experimenting with adding flavorings to coffee since she was a young girl and has developed some delious coffees that almost all market place attendees make a point to stop in and try. Finally in this last book is the oldest cousin. She became a widow at a young age and is trying to add some income to her parents who took her and her young son in after her husband was tragically killed. Her specialty is as the title says....jams and jellies! Each book centers around one of the cousins but includes the other 3 and their close families as they enrich their lives through their work and find love! They are very sweet but not at all sappy romances. There are enough antics going on to hold your attention in each and every book. I get bored easily and these were not sleepers!

Suzanne J. Sellner: The Jam and Jelly Nook is a delightful story of second chances. Widowed mom Leanna operates a jam and jelly booth at a local farmers' market, but her teenage son Chester gets into a little mischief. An innocent bystander in the wrong place at the wrong time, Maggie needs rescuing. Her father Emory and Leanna meet at the police station. Emory, needing another worker at his shed-building business, hires Chester and serves as a positive role model for Chester, who no longer has a father. On the other hand, Emory's daughter sews such beautiful quilts, bags, and Amish dolls that when the booth next to hers becomes available, Leanna approaches Emory and Maggie about Maggie's selling her creations in Leanna's expanded booth and Chester about selling his homemade bird cages in her booth. Maggie grows in confidence and skills. Emory is attracted to Leanna, but another single woman has her eyes set on Emory. Many misunderstandings result. The children are torn about their parents' dating someone again, and the adults pray for God's direction but fear that their first choices love someone else. A strong faith thread runs through the book, and the well-developed characters make the story seem...

cherese akhaveincherese akhavein: The Jam and Jelly Nook is the 4th Book in the ( An Amish MarketPlace Series) by Amy Clipston
I really enjoyed this book and series and can say I’m sad to see this series end. In this book you will meet Leanna Wengerd who is a single parent to a teenage son named Chester. Leanna also runs a successful Jam and Jelly business and the local Market.
You will also meet Emory Speicher who is a widower and raising his teenage daughter Maggie.
Both Leanna and Emory realize that they struggle with providing for their children and at the same time moving forward with their life. How do they balance their children’s needs and their own?
This book is a really good look at how a parent can help a child not only deal with the passing of a parent but also thrive. It shows that through time, faith, commpassion, understanding, and love it’s possible for you to come out the other end of grief move forward and celebrate with purpose. I thoroughly enjoyed each of these books. I really recommend this book and entire series.

Ellie: This book is going on my list of all-time favorites! I loved it!!! This is my favorite book in this series which is saying a lot because I've loved every book in this series.

Leanna and Emory meet at the police station where they had to pick up their teenaged children after they are caught trespassing. Leanna and Emory are both struggling as single parents raising teens and they forge a friendship based on this.

I loved how well developed Leanna and Emory as well as their teens Chester and Maggie were. The characters' feelings were so well written that I was feeling right along with them. I enjoyed how Emory helped Chester and the ways that Leanna helped Maggie. I loved the family support that Leanna had, including her cousins who were written about in the previous books in the series. The fact that Emory's brother and sister-in-law were trying to set him up was a great addition to this story. I was inspired by Leanna and Emory continuing to pray about their feelings for each other.

Even though this is the fourth book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone. If you enjoy Amish fiction, I highly recommend this book.
