Amerock BPR8704BB 1/2in (13mm) Double Demountable Burnished Brass Hinge with Overlay Design

FireOpal: The media could not be loaded.  I updated my 1980's house kitchen and needed to replace the hinges as the original ones were gold and I was going with a silver/stainless steel look for my kitchen. Given that the door had been fitted to these type of hinges I had to find the same ones to replace it.
I saw them at big box store for a much higher price and decided to look on Amazon and found these at a better price.
I purchased over 20 of these and all of them were well made and easy to install.
I would recommend if you are looking to replace your kitchen hinges with a quality item at a fraction of the price of big box stores.

PVUgrad: I have bought 2 sets. Yes, they are easy to install, as long as you buy the ones your original hinges were. Make sure you look at the diagram and measure. However, one of the hinges is shiny silver, not satin like it wasn't buffed. I moved it to the bottom cabinet, so no one but me would know. It's not worth the hassle to return. I would have if they were going on an upper cabinet. Then you would have noticed. Otherwise, they are great.

SewAwsumSewAwsum: These were exactly what I was looking for. I needed to replace the old hinges on ALL my cabinet doors. I ordered just enough to do my hall bath first to make sure they were the correct ones and would work. It was perfect, worked like a charm, and so easy to install. They look beautiful on my cabinets.

Lady Insanity: The door mount is the same size as the old one but the cabinet mount is smaller. Just move it so the screw port is centered over the exsiting top screw hole and the door will sit flush as its supposed to. Oh, as a side note, the included screws are useless so ur gonna need to have 4 of your own on hand.
Other than that, nice fit and look.

Motogirl99: Difficult to find hinge. Was about $0.50 cheaper than single store that carried in my metropolitan city. Good shipping. Quality seems slightly lower than ones available in store. Also, I had to replace a number of the plates with plates from my old hinges. Though both are Amerock hinges a surprising number simply would not tighten enough to hold the cabinet doors. Even with changed plates, still difficult to tighten and screws strip very easily. I would probably rate these 3.5 Also, had to pound 3 with a hammer to get proper 90 degree bend do fit snug to cabinet. However, if you already have these hinges, it's GREAT you can find these on Amazon. Almost no one carries these anymore. I don't expect them to have longest life span. I've already had to re-tighten 3 doors BUT is better than buying new cabinets.

Note: These are double demountable hinges. But are easily converted to single demountable hinges by simply removing the plate and using a hammer to tap out the screw. I did this to make it very simple to switch out the single demountables I had and replace with these double demountables using the screw from the old set.

Note 2:. These ARE technically self-closing....

simon: If you have the 1970's awkward cabinetry that only lasted a few years cause the cabinet makers realized what a time consuming pain in the a$$ these hinges were.... and the 'beautiful' rustic brass look that has to go... then you are in luck.
I have no idea how this is possible, but buying these on Amazon.ca $3 cheaper that Amazon.com! Note: seems to be a limit of 10 at checkout with 24 hours 'respawn' time, so if you need 10+ for a project, plan ahead.
Anyway back to product, purchased 30 now (yes in 3 multiples of 10) and every pair has been in perfect order. Also in package is the cabinet bumper cork pads (the 1/4" square pieces that prevent a loud slam). Very impressed with quality, finish and fit.
