Malt_Girl715: I just received my 8” American Lifetime Large Number Digital Clock 8”5w x 6.65”h which has a 1yr warranty and 30 day return policy. It came wonderfully packaged and on time. I have only had it about 3 days and right out of the box I plugged it in and the settings on it were already set to my preference. It lights brighter at 7 am and dims at 7 pm. When you wake up at night with all the lights out you can still read the clock setting of day, time and date on the dim setting. All the letters are bright, clear and crisp.After a $5.00 coupon I paid $58.44 w/tax and w/ Amazon Prime I had free shpg. The one thing I would bring to everyone’s attention about this clock is the stand that holds the clock up on a table. It’s not that it’s flimsy. You have to be very very careful when you pull the stand out from the back of the clock. I almost broke it. I wiggled it a little very gently and was able to pull the stand out. I bought this for my LR and now I want another one for my BDRM. Some people are saying that they stop working after a year, but I’m going to take a chance. TEXASCITIZEN: Exactly what I was looking for in a digital LCD desk clock. Bought in 2019 & have had NO problems with it. I use it only for information, not for an alarms, messaged, etc. It is bright enough. Mine is currently set to display this information: MONDAY AFTERNOON 2:05 PM NOVEMBER 6, 2023. It is set to a black background with white characters. (The size of the font is not the same for all information but is sized appropriately.) Relatively easy to set once you have gone through the process a time or two. Electric power with battery back up.

I was looking for a clock which has the information shown above & had passed over this clock several times because i didn't really know what it was. It is an 8 inch Digital LCD display. 8 inch is like a computer monitor measured from corner to corner of the screen. Unlike a monitor the entire display is not used, just that part which displays the characters but being 8 inches allows for larger characters. crazyaboutamazon: I bought this for my husband who has dementia. He had a smart phone but didn’t know how to use it. He was constantly asking me what day it was and/or the time. I needed something I could put where he could see it. It’s sitting on our desk within 12 ft from where he sits. He loves it. So do I! A great buy. And I never have to reset it if the electricity goes out. It doesn’t automatically update for day light savings time but it is so simple to reset it.

JudyJudy: Just plug it in and everything about the time is clearly displayed. While there are ways to edit the information, it was correct right out of the box. Great for an office or in the living room. We refer to it frequently for the date.
Amazon had a much better price than another company too!

Amazon Customer: Works well. Easy to read and to set up. Don't like that the cord hangs down the wall to the outlet when you hang it up on the wall for a good vantage point. Also the nail hole the back of the clock used to hang it up is not balanced and the clock hangs crooked due to the weight of the stand used for table top placement.

Lisa MLisa M: I actually purchased this clock for my Dad, who has Dementia. I really didn’t realize how much we were all going to love it!
It was well packaged and arrived ahead of schedule. It has a battery backup (included) to be used if the power goes out but the main source is the AC cord. It is very easy to set the clock, day, month etc. Direction booklet is very straight forward.
It can be either hung on the wall or on the back it has a little pull out stand that makes it like a picture frame sitting on a table.
Very clear and bright at night or I think it has a dimming feature but I didn’t use it. Love that the screen stays black so that it isn’t your typical BLUE HUE throughout your whole house.
I highly recommend this clock even just as your every day clock.

ten: My elderly father, with dementia, constantly asks the date or insists it is the afternoon and why did he miss breakfast and lunch when he wakes up at 3:00 am. He's totally lost track of time (5 minutes is now an hour, etc.), but he can still tell the time. In desperation I searched for something he could not only see, but was simple so he could understand it. This absolutely met that mark. He can see it easily, dims automatically at 7:00 p.m., the alarms can be turned off completely, it's light weight and has a battery backup. Worried he would knock it over we opted to mount it on the cupboard wall next to his bed using removable Velcro strips. The staff in the care home love it, thrilled it includes 'morning, afternoon, etc., and tell us they have suggested this for others who, like dad, have 'sun downers'. He's happy and we're very happy.

K. Jennifer Brown: Clock is FANTASTIC aid for my 90yr old mom, who still wants to live independently, at home; however suffers with short term memory loss and often forgets her meds because she doesn't know what day of the week it is - so, the clock is a wonderful solution - she loves it!!! Just wish it ran off of batteries as we can get several power outages throughout our winters and that can be upsetting to a senior in her situation - a functioning clock would be such an asset in the darkness - plus the display would throw some light. Unless I have misunderstood, the battery functionality is only to retain 'memory' of correct time, date etc. for when the power comes back on - that too is very helpful, so kudos on a great product!
