BeaBea: Some horrible person dumped two precious big big dogs in our rural area in the early Spring. It took months and months to get close to them. They would stay a half block away from us when we put food out and wait until we were leaving to eat. Finally, six weeks ago, they trusted us. They had huge ticks but I didn't see obvious fleas. Our 3 indoor dogs almost never have a flea and get Nexguard only when we see one. So I was not accustomed to the drops. We treated the new boys 5 weeks ago and in a day or so they were tick free and stayed that way until today. One fellow is white and has very little tummy hair so I think I would see fleas when he rolls over if they were there. I have ordered more of this. The price is great and it worked perfectly the first time. I hope it doesn't stop being as effective over time but we will deal with that if it happens.

CCIGrampaw: This Amazon Basics flea and tick preventive has the same active ingredients as Frontline Plus at about 1/3 the cost.
The only downside to this product (compared to Frontline) is it doesn’t have a pleasant fragrance. It smells more like a chemical when you apply it, but as it gets absorbed by your dogs skin the odor dissipates.
The important part is my dog’s getting the same flea & tick prevention as Frontline Plus at 1/3 the price. Highly recommended product.

Ruth Robinson: The price is hard to beat, and it worked FLAWLESSLY for prevention. But I forgot to reorder for my dog that is a different weight range than the rest, and we of course had fleas within a week. With an ACTIVE infestation, this is much less effective because it wears off significantly by 2-3 weeks (typical of flea drops in general)
But once the infestation is over with I will go back to using this because it is so much more affordable than bravecto chews.
I do wish they these had a snap off top instead of needing to be cut with scissors.
