Tim: Ended up sending it back due to being a bit heavier than I wanted to tote around and up ladders. The tubes are metal and pretty large which makes it very sturdy when in use but also makes the overall weight too much for me.

Wanda: We liked this stand so much, we bought another one! They are very well-made and sturdy, and pretty easy to put together (just need to follow the included instructions). My husband uses one as a stand for a mixer (audio equipment) for his drumset and we've both used the other one as a laptop stand. These stands are a great value!

JoeB: I bought a couple of these for a work from home office desk in the basement to hide from the heat. I have two laptops, each on their own stand/dock, on these platforms. Nicely and easily adjustable, and very sturdy. Took seconds to assemble. Had to give the bolt a good whack on one of them so I could place the platform, and then perfection.

Living signLiving sign: This tripod has 1.5" tubular legs versus the standard 1" making it very sturdy. It's also extendable way above waist height making it ideal for a number of applications. I use it to support my Mackie mixer which it does effortlessly. I have total confidence in its ability to hold the weight, and the top is highly adjustable allowing a wide range of tilt. I agree with some reviewers here that the notch in the table for cables is unnecessary, as it doesn't interfere with cables in any way. But this is a very minor niggle. If this is a true example of Amazon Basics, I will definitely be buying from the Basics range again.

Robert (Ottawa): Bought this as a portable lecture for classroom missing stand at front of room. Not sure what I was expecting, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. Very good quality and sturdy. Not to heavy, so easy to walk with in one hand. Used in on first lecture recently, and it performed like a champ. Did not have any concerns with the stability of the device holding my laptop. It is a solid product, and for the price, a great value.
