I installed the unit in my 16' aluminum boat to replace a Rule 750 GPM pump, that lived from the year 1980. My hat's off to this company for a great product. My new unit is this Amarine-made Automatic Submersible pump is much larger, but I Jimmy Jet it together to make it work. Size was one problem and the biggest problem was the Rule had a 3/4" discharge hose and the Amarine had a 1" discharge hose. It cost me a few bucks to engineer the switch over with multiple trips to the hard ware store. So beware if your old unit has a 3/4" hose and your new one has a 1" hose opt out to purchase the 1" discharge hose kit, it will save you much time in the installation. Oh! the pump it worked like a charm. We were both fishing and heard a noise, we looked at each other and smiled, as we both realized it was the boat discharging it's self. Meantime I need a new discharge hose. The 3/4" hose split. However I'm sure it was due to age and not the power of the pump. But as advertised it works.
