Mike: I wanted to write on a small chalkboard with details without using liquid chalk markers (because liquid doesn’t always remove easily). These skinny chalk sticks with the chalk holder ARE PERFECT!! I love it!

Lurkbirb: While the white chalks are great for marking on darker colored fabric, I really needed these to mark on white fleece. The marks won't fully come out but did fade a little when wiped with water so it's much less noticeable but you can still see it if you look really hard.
Still gonna have to keep looking for something to mark on plush fabrics with that will actually stay long enough to stitch but actually disappear or wash out afterwards.
I did find use for it in a couple other ways too so it's not a total waste but really can only be used for half of what I needed (dark fabric)

William Grimble: I have a small chalkboard next to my desk on the wall. I had been using a pocket knife to sharpen full-sized chalk to create a finer line. This chalk and holder are perfect for the job. Its ordinary dry chalkboard chalk, but only about 3/16" wide. Press the button at the end of the holder and slide in the chalk. Leave around 1/4" sticking out, and it wont break (maybe if you really bared down on it, but it doesnt break for regular writing on the board). I use it alot, and the enclosed chalk that came with it seems like it will last forever. The only con was, many of the chalk sticks broke during shipping. But those go into the holder just as easy as the full stick. They last a long time, so its not like you will be changing chalk allot even if you use the 1/2 sticks (unless you like to use a bunch of different colors)

Lo malo? Todas las tizas vienen rotas,pero pueden usarse aunque sea en pedazos .
Deberían usar burbuja en el empaque y cuidar ese detalle.

Vanessa Jacqueline: Ok, I am going to address the handful of issues the other users mentioned here. Regarding my knowledge of usage and materials behavior: I paint, I draw, I sketch, I sew, I bead, I do paper quilling and stained glass, have worked with wood much, and do/tinker with/or spend much time doing several other arts, crafts and playing music. For the past 40 years. So that goes to say I can tell the difference in quality of most arts and crafts products, and have acquired a large inventory of products over the years, in variety and purpose.
Regarding this one:
A: Only the WHITE sticks are actual CHALK. The colored sticks are the same material as coloring pencils lead, of the waxier type.
B: IF you are looking to mark fabrics with the colored sticks but want the markings to disappear, DO NOT use this product. As I stated in A, the colored sticks are waxy. The markings will not wash off. You're better off using the kids' sidewalk chalk, or the regular sized colored chalk from Crayola, or Rose Art, or whatever generic brand chalk. I have had no problems marking my fabrics with these, including my wedding dress.
