Bill G: I highly recommend this wax for any hardwood finishing work. I used it on 2 quarter sawn cherry jewelry boxes and it is excellent! It is a very oily wax that reminds me of the Odie's products, so if you have used and like those, you will like this even better when you see the price difference. I like oily wax but it may not be for everyone, which is why I gave it a 4 for eased of use. I think it is more difficult to apply THIN coats of wax with an oily product, but since I like that type wax better, I get over it. The instructions say leave it on for a few hours. Very true. I found that 5-6 hours worked well and even left one coat on for 8 hours and still had a little wax on my buff cloth. It leaves a satin gloss finish on the box I finished, but that also depends on how much buffing you do. The maker says he is competing against Pledge, Minwax and Howards. I respectfully disagree with him. This product is more in the realm of Odie's, Walrus Oil and other high end specialty waxes. The product label states it is food safe, but I'm not sure with the amount of tung oil and cedar oil in it. I would appreciate an answer on that if someone knows. The lemon oil and cedar oil used for...

Hemet user: I like buying from real people rather than companies. When I opened the container there was a request to give an "honest" review. I tried all over the net to contact him to ask if he had one that didnt stink but I couldnt find a contact number. I was going to put it on a blanket chest that I had made but Im not wanting that smell in my bedroom.
So in addition, I put it on, left it for awhile and came back to buff the excess off but it was a sticky mess. Ill have to take turps or something to get it off. Im not going to use any more of that stuff.
I advise you try a different product.
I was p*** that Id paid for something unusable as they were going to charge me almost as much as I paid to return it and I wasnt going to spend good money after bad. The product does have the ingredients of the perfect wax (minus the smell) but its just too much like vaseline. So I decided to buy 1 oz of beeswax pellets and put that with the Z product in a tin can floating in water. It took 10 minutes for it all to liquify. The end product is stiffer, which is what I want, and some of the smell has dissipated. It did a good job on my shellacked blanket chest. So with the new proportions...

JasonJason: Best wood polish ever! I just received a new untreated Walnut chair! Beautiful chair! The Polish that came with it was a toxic bottle poison though. I didn’t like the ingredients I saw in many of the products at the local hardware store, so I started doing my homework on oils and wax’s for treating and maintaining beatiful ‘non toxic’ wood. This chair has wooden arm rests, I didn’t want off gassing and toxic chemicals leaching into my arms while enjoying my lovely chair. I finally found Z’s Wood Nectar after heeps of research and it was a match made in Heaven!! The pics I posted are post poli Best wood polish ever! I just received a new untreated Walnut chair! amber: Cedarwood and lemongrass perfect aroma not too strong and like essential oils do, it fades, so mostly for my enjoyment while applying/working. Weeks later still smells like real beeswax. Oil instantly and noticeably seeps deep under the surface adding luster, a light sheen and a coating of beeswax. I hope 'Z' likes making this as much as I like using it. I enjoy seeing before and after of the dry woods soaking it in and taking on a mildly aged Amber tone. Not greasy or sticky, wipes off hands with dry napkin.
A little over a month ago I used 1 can to weatherproof an entire new Cypress beehive exterior; solid bottom board, 2 deeps, 3 mediums, 2 Miller feeders, 2 slatted racks, 2 robber screens, inner and top covers. I also did my older dry Ironwood walking stick, 10/22 Walnut stock, and a large 27x20 inch Maple cutting board. Still have some left but ordered 2 more to do a natural finish floor to ceiling Douglas Fir bookshelf.
Each item and type of wood is now noticeably more protected, water repellent and more beautiful than before. Thanks Z

Jan: When I shop for a product, I shop beyond the product...how is it packaged?
Z's is packaged in a metal container, i.e. sustainably!
Yes, the wax is wonderful - easy to use, a good value, scent-free but, no aerosol or spray-type plastic bottle
is great as I make every effort to eliminate plastic bottles/containers from my home.
Too bad Amazon felt the need to bubble wrap it - UGH!
