TheBeesKneesTheBeesKnees: Dachshund mix was able to lick treats out of my hand with this muzzle on. I wanted to ensure he could lick up water and training treats, which he can but cannot bite. Out of the box, it fit. I put some treats inside it at first to get him used to putting his mouth inside the muzzle and good things happening. I also have been bringing out the muzzle randomly and putting it on him where there are no other distractions around so that when it comes time to wear it for real, he'll be comfortable with it and not view it as punishment.

BEWARE: you'll want to watch your dog with it on at first for a few minutes before trusting it. How it doesn't a strap that goes overhead between the eyes, my dog was able to paw it down and get out before I tightened it up.

At first, it did not appear to need to be tightened when I put it on him. But after noticing he could paw his way out of it, I tightened it.

Please ensure your dog can't get out of it before trusting your dog in a high risk scenario.

Kimothy O.: It has been very difficult to find a muzzle that fits our chihuahua/dachshund/min pin mix dog. She's 11 pounds with a 1.5" long nose, 2" circumference. Tried several others that all covered up her eyes. This XS fits her perfectly. It's soft and pliable, and leaves plenty of room for her mouth to open to pant, but I do wish it had some sort of padding for her nose. That said, we don't leave it on her for longer than a few minutes at a time, only when necessary. She doesn't like it much, and tries to paw it off, but so far has not been able to. The strap goes around her neck instead of the back of her head, which is better because it is harder for her to get it off. Thumbs up!

Caitlin Costello: I bought this muzzle for my 4 pound Chorkie. I bought it in the size XS, but I did still have to cut it and glue it back together for it to fit his face. His snout fits perfectly, but the straps were a little to long to keep it over his face. Overall it works really well. I like that he is able to sniff and stick out his tongue without having his mouth stuck shut. He does manage to shake it off his face if he tries hard enough, but this is due to it still being to large. It's pretty easy to slip back on and I'd rather have to fix it occasionally then have it be way to tight. Overall this product is good, but I'm knocking off a start for the XS straps being way longer then they should.

YS: I love this muzzle!!!! It’s comfortable for my dog and doesn’t make her look vicious..... I know because my dog barely notices it unless other few other muzzles I have tried. The best thing is the easy convenience to put it on. My dog is scared of noises like the buckle snap sound.... the strap is thin so the buckle is small so it snaps quietly which I love because it doesn’t freak out my dog. I use it to prevent my dog from eating things off the ground. The previous muzzle I had to be returned because my dog was still able to eat with the muzzle on. This one....she can’t. She can’t lick her nose with it on, however her tongue comes out a little bit when she wants to, so I know she can open her mouth a little bit. When the weather gets hot and my dog needs to pant, I do take it off because I don’t think it allows her to pant properly since her mouth opening becomes restricted. The first few days I put it on only for a few seconds while getting ready to go out (while my dog was super excited). Then I slowly increased the length to a min or so. I wanted her to associate it with positive thoughts..... it’s working. Notice in the pic, she is wagging her tail. I got...
