Weaver Cattle Company: I have three of these grease guns and the older one still works to this day (over 5 years old). I bought two more later on and noticed the the quality isn't what it use to be compared to my original grease gun.

I'm not sure if these grease guns are being made in China or not but they sure aren't worth the asking price anymore!

The second & third grease gun are a pain to prime and sometimes just decide to up and stop working from time to time.

Also, the grease guns come with a manual and list replacement/repair part numbers yet you can't find those parts from any online source period which means you're stuck dealing with a company that has horrible customer service.

My advice, look elsewhere when buying a grease gun because Alemite has apparently sold the customer out for increased corporate profit margins while selling cheaply made junk!

CJ Hike: Great well made product. Does exactly what it is supposed to do at a reasonable price, such a rare thing nowadays.

james: Iv bought 3 of these and there all going great! but I paed between 40-50 not 100 come on..

Well worth the extra 20/30 $ for a good gun having tossed 4 or 5 cheaper ones over the years had I just bout this off the bat I would have saved money..

Not i like the leaver style for extra pressure but it best paired with a lock-n-lube coupler.
(Don't cheap out here either test me)

With the lock n lubes your just over 100$ but what's a bearing / labor / downtime worth..

Amazon Customer: I don’t review much, but I wanted to comment on this grease gun. It’s outstanding. I’ve gone through 3 generic Chinese made grease guns over the last year with huge mess, frustration, and wasted money. This one works perfectly, pumps a ton of grease, and fits together like a glove.

Things I like-

The hose is thick and sturdy, doesn’t twist or collapse.

The gasket where the tube seats is nice and wide, to address grease tubes that might have gotten dinged and aren’t perfectly flat.

The plunger runs smoothly and the spring is strong- makes charging and loading a breeze, no having to pump it for days to get grease.

Head design is ideal, funneled internally to almost be self priming.

Fit and finish is excellent, it screws together cleanly and fits snug.

If you need a grease gun...buy this one and done.

Amazon Customer: Its a bit pricey but works very well. Great instructions. For example use gravity by keeping the gun higher than the grease fitting. Also if no grease comes out, pull back the plunger and lift open the handle. Then put the plunger on the ground and, while holding the air valve open , push down on the gun. This bleeds the air from the gun. This gun has a very good air valve- unlike some guns that just use a screw or have no valve at all.

David: I have a Lincoln manual (1147) and a Lincoln pneumatic grease gun (1162) that I have been suffering with for about 5 years now. The pneumatic gun was junk from the day I bought it. It has no power despite using 120 psi air pressure. The power piston would often hang-up and stop working until the pressure was relieved. The coupler leaked, and the “patented” grease follower in the reservoir inverted itself causing the grease in the reservoir to move past the follower into the spring area of the reservoir. This created quite a mess when I pulled the follower back to the load position.
I recently replaced some ball joints on a truck and wanted to fill them with grease. The pneumatic gun lost prime so I went to use the manual Lincoln which couldn’t get grease into the new joint because it was bypassing internally within the pump of the gun. I’m guessing that the clearance between the piston and bore in the pump housing was out of specification causing the internal leakage. I don’t suspect wear because this gun is only five years old and I am just a homeowner who does his own oil changes and lubes on my own vehicles.

Bart DeBellis: Get this grease gun you will not be disappointed. Short story..I have a piece of equipment that has to be greased daily or it will cost a small fortune in bearings. So, I purchased the most expensive grease gun they had on the shelf at a local auto parts store. Well it lasted about two tubes of grease and then I would pump and pump handle but I could not get grease to purge out like it was supposed to out of any of the fittings. Well luckily I stumbled onto this grease gun. I hooked this gun up on the first fitting and pumped it three time and grease purged out the bearing as it should have. Here comes the great part. I hooked it up to the second fitting and went to pump the handle but it gave resistance( I did not force it I stopped), I removed the fitting and found that the fitting would not allow the grease to go through it, so I replace the fitting and everything works as it should again. I think what happened to my other gun was when I hit the bad fitting it just broke the gun, I felt no resistance on handle. With this gun I knew the fitting was not taking grease instantly. I'm sure if I forced this gun I could have broke It as well but as I stated the other gun gave no...
