I felt comfortable having my favorite toddler climb on it. It is sturdy. I really enjoyed how easy it was to clean. Quick wipe off or spritz with cleaner and rinse off in the shower. Easy and fresh.

Frankie McDougal: This potty teaching seat comes compactly delivered in a box which shows you exactly how to put it together without even opening the instructions. The assembly is so obvious you probably wouldn’t need instructions, but it’s nice you can verify everything at a glance. If you work better off directions than pictures, the instructions are written out quite thoroughly.
The seat itself has two height options via easily interchangeable foot sizes. You can also change the step to two different heights. A nice touch is that you get enough screws and nonslip pads for both for heights and both steep heights. You can’t use them at the same time, but it provides for spares and cuts down on changing time if you switch between them.
I haven’t had mine long enough to truly comment on sturdiness, however I would say it feels mid grade, and they list the maximum weight as 20kg (45lbs). My kid is just two and more slender, but I can see a stockier kid surpassing that weight before they can really sit on a full sized seat, especially an oval toilet.
The main flaw on this seat is the splash guard. It didn’t lock on in any way, so the slightest tap will send it into the...

APAndrooz: My twins prefer this over their little potty chairs so much! They’re excited to sit on the potty to use it. It’s pretty easy to put together, the screws can fit a little snug going in that I just ended up whacking a couple to get through the holes but they screwed on fine after that. It’s all plastic so it can be a bit wobbly/flimsy feeling. Could use a double step option and my boy is taller then my girl but even with the step on the lowest height option she can still manage to get up/down.

Mr and Mrs Up: This is actually a modified version of what parents used to potty train their kids in the 1980s. It was a great and effective tool then, and it remains so now.
It’s relatively easy to assemble. It takes about 15 minutes to get it assembled correctly. It’s crucial to get the screws and nuts tight so that the product is sturdy and safe. I have a feeling that the handful of people saying it wasn’t sturdy did not take the time to assemble it correctly. It’s very stable for a 2 year old at 30lbs.
It doesn’t fit every toilet seat. However, on our toilet, we lift seat and it sturdily connects to the bowl. Our toddler had no problem setting it properly (which was impressive to me).
Our toddler felt accomplished and excited to potty train after two months of resisting potty training. She liked the colors, the step, and the sense of independence. She prefers it over the tiny toddler potties.
If I could offer any critique, I would say offer it in pink too. The colors aren’t really male or female though so it’s perfect regardless. Oddly enough, I remember these types of things being gender neutral colored in the 1980s too.

MAE: I purchased this for our grandkids because they cannot get on the toilet themselves but want too. When my kids were young, they had one very similar that folded into a little potty chair as well. I was looking for something similar and found this. The grandkids love it so they now have them at home and at Grandma's.
