Like so many others, I have to watch my carb intake. In my search for a low carb pasta, I've tried what I call pseudo pastas, you know, the stuff made out of beans, artichokes, and sawdust, that only violates your palette? Well, my search is over. A friend, with similar carb issues, gave me a bag of Carba-Nada fettuccine pasta to try. I made some white clam sauce, boiled the pasta, and put it to the test. I'm impressed. It has a texture and taste just like regular pasta only with much lower carbs. I find that I have to boil it a little longer than the direction say and I always test for doneness. I also can tell you that the price is higher than regular pasta, but I justify it by telling myself that I don't eat it every day and If I was to go out to a restaurant, I would be paying much more.

J.J. in Indiana: I am so happy that I discovered Carba-Nada Keto pasta! I've been adhering to a Keto diet for almost 4 years and frankly zoodles, spaghetti squash, heart of palm and cauliflower as replacements for real pasta gets old quick. This Carba-Nada pasta is the closest thing to real pasta that I've ever had! I've tried all of the flavors and the only one that I would maybe skip is the lemon because you really can't taste the lemon, but it's still very good as a pasta substitute. I use Carba-Nada for anything that I would use regular pasta for. The key is not to overcook it, which is fine with me because I prefer my pasta al dente. It may be a bit on the pricey side but believe me it's worth the money to finally have something that I can put my Keto meatballs and tomato sauce on that truly tastes like real pasta and not zucchini. BUT a serving is still 17 MG OF NET CARBS, so if you're trying to keep your net carbs under 20 mg a day to stop the carb cravings and lose weight this may not work for you yet. I'm fat adapted now so I can eat a little more carbs once or twice a week without a problem. It definitely works for me, and I highly recommend it.

Jesse Byahhh: If you're doing keto, you'll have to save a lot of your daily carbs for a meal with these noodles. But it's worth it. Very good noodles (though to be fair, I've only tried the garlic flavor... but also to be fair, they didn't have a lot of flavor). The consistency was really good, did not taste at all like a substitute. The price is quite high but each bag has 5 servings (1.5 cups dry per serving). Since these are so pricey and quite high in carbs, these will be a treat but nice to have on hand when I have a craving for some real noodles. Also, I like my pasta al dente, I hate overcooked pasta, but these did take more than 3 minutes in boiling water to get to al dente. Just stay close when cooking these and check at 3 minutes and then in increments of 30-45 seconds after that so you don't overcook them.

Dr. Robert N. Goldberg: This pasta tastes like regular fettuccini but has only 25% of the carbohydrates. If you have diabetes, that may be all you need to know to understand why I am giving it 5 stars. For the rest of you, here is some background.
Pasta is a high glycemic food. When you eat it, your body quickly digests it into blood glucose. Unless you are among the lucky 25% of the population who can eat tons of high glycemic foods and not gain weight, after a big pasta meal your blood glucose rises. In normal (non-diabetic) individuals, your endocrine system responds by causing your pancreas to produce insulin, which in turn causes your body to use or convert the excess glucose to other forms of energy, including body fat. If you have diabetes, your body does not respond sufficiently and your blood glucose rises to unhealthy levels. So for 75% of the population, eating a big pasta meal is not especially healthy.
Why do we eat a foods that give our endocrine system such a workout? In the case of pasta, it is inexpensive and tastes good to us. For most of human history, food was not plentiful and it was important for our survival to develop a taste for foods that are high-caloric (like...

Dee N.: This was suppose to be a low carb pasta that I could have being on the keto diet and it wasn’t low carb enough for me and strange taste.
I did find one u might want to try called NuPasta, only 36 calories per serving, 6 carbs but also 6 fiber, no sugar and taste pretty good.
