DMTreviewsDMTreviews: So I wanted a white blond wig and figured with some extra steps I could make a cheap one look for realistic…that is not the case with this one. Even after cutting out the plastic rubber in the front and plucking the part and hairline it still remains stiff and doesn’t lay flat on my head. I got it on prime day for $11 so I’m going to keep it, but I’m disappointed. I’m in the process of giving it bangs to hide that horrendous hairline, but wow this is the hardest part to change I’ve ever experienced on a wig. I steamed it with rollers in it and then flat ironed and am now trying to steam it with the pieces Bobby pinned together to hopefully keep them centered so fingers crossed I can salvage this thing. One big plus though is it brushes very easily so it doesn’t get tangled as easily as some of my other cheap (~$25) wigs do and the synthetic hair is somehow very soft. I wouldn’t use it for more than a cheap Halloween costume personally, but it is better than any costume wigs I’ve seen at target, party city, etc

AmyAmy: I followed some tutorials on how to fix a wig to look more like realistic, and I definitely like the end result.
I razored a good chunk of the ends off and gave it a few layers. I cut off some of the bulky black material under the hair line so it would lay flatter on my scalp; I did need to super glue some of the weft ends back onto the underside of the wig to secure them. I removed some of the hair from the part so it would look more like the way hair grows naturally. Finally I used some black eyeshadow to darken the roots which made a world of difference for how “natural” the wig looks on me. I was impressed that the modifications did such a good job in making the wig look more like a part of me, rather than something I was wearing on my head. I don’t have a before shot of the wig before the mods, but it looked just like the product image on the head form.

I will sew on two gripper clips under the front to keep the wig from slipping and shifting out of place. I like the fact that it has adjustable straps to fit the wig better to my head. I like the shine of the strands for the costume I will use, but using some dry shampoo would help it look less synthetic. The...
