Erin T: Pillow thing under the heel, I believe, is defective and deflated and does virtually nothing. Unfortunately, it can't be returned to Amazon as it is considered a personal care item. A total waste of money. Thanks a lot Amazon.

N. WeitkampN. Weitkamp: Wore for 15 minutes until my foot went asleep. Heel bladder extends into arch area cutting off circulation. Stiff, hard tube (connecting heel bladder to Achilles's bladder) digs into ankle. Cheap stitching. Cheap materials. Unusable product. Motion Store must have known most of these braces would have been returned, hence their no return policy.
My physical therapist recommended a CEP Achilles brace. The CEP brace reduced my post surgery swelling, was well made and comfortable to wear. I can't believe (as stated in other reviews) that a doctor would ever recommend this Aircast brace.
I wasted my money. Hopefully you won't donate your money to this scam product. If you still want to try this product, at least find another seller (NOT Motion Store) that will let you return it.

Ranter60: I have struggled with an irritated achilles for some time and this brace had made a huge difference.
You can't wear it all the time but it sure helps when walking around.
The part that you strap to your ankle can irritate the skin as it is not very smooth, but I apply a couple of turns of athletic foam first and that solves the issue.
The unit has a 'pump' in the sole that inflates air bags on either side of your achilles so that there is nothing rubbing on it.
The first one I bought didn't last a day as the bladder had a leak along the seam but I have bought two since and both have been excellent.

LD Rabbit: My podiatrist recommended this brace after a year in which I've been fighting plantar fasciitis, and it's saved me. The padding goes under the arch, providing support and presumably also stretching the plantar tendon with each step. It doesn't actually cushion the heel itself. But what it does do--and this is brilliant, whether intended or not--is that it essentially lifts the heel up off the ground, preventing it from striking the ground at all. So for the first time in a year I found myself walking, not with less pain, but with no pain whatsoever. This in turn seems to have allowed my heel to begin to recover and repair itself. Of course, I continue to do all of the requisite stretching, and it's finally starting to pay off. For full disclosure, I also allowed the podiatrist to give me a cortisone shot, which helped a bit but wasn't at all a magic bullet. If I didn't wear the Aircast, my heel still would hurt a lot, even after the shot. I believe it's the weeks of relief from striking the ground, coupled with the continued stretching, that have finally allowed my heel to begin heal.
One caution: If you walk around a lot with the Aircast on, you're slightly throwing your...

momoftwinz: I have Achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis and peroneal tendonitis in my right foot. After more than a year of severe pain I was told that the only solution was 6-12 weeks immobilized in a full walking boot, along with a night splint (which I was already using). I got the boot (paid $100 co-pay after my insurance paid their portion!) and tried it for a few weeks. It hurt my foot in places it wasn't already hurting. And, it was such a hassle since I had to take it off to drive (as instructed by my doctor), so I was constantly having to change from a shoe to the boot. Walking in it also threw my gait off. I looked for other solutions and stumbled upon this. After just a few days of wearing it, the pain was so much better! It is not gone, but I no longer have days of barely being able to walk like I did before, and I think it is getting better every day. I thought I was going to have to go on disability before I found this product. I am on my feet all day at work, and I wear this with my shoes (fits comfortably). I have also found that wearing it under my night splint is helpful as well. I basically never take it off! I have a milder case of Achilles tendonitis in my left foot and...

Vicky: I had PF in my right foot in the past and of all the things I used to be able to function with it I found the aircast airheel was the biggest help in getting through the day (I am a teacher). Now I have PF in my left foot. I tried my old aircast on it but it did not fit well I thought from wearing it on my right for over a year. So I ordered a new one. It still fits a little oddly but well enough that I can use it. The air bladder under the arch takes pressure off the heel and it is a huge relief. What I do is wear my really good shoes for a few hours and as my foot begins to get sore I put on the airheel. I change shoes when I get home. Last time I had PF for over 3 years in my right foot before having a PRP treatment which finally helped it to heal. I am hoping the airheel will help enough where I don't need to do that again! I would give it 5 stars if it fit a little bit more comfortable around the ankle. I do like that it fits to wear my shoes over it.

Savecheetahs: The bottom of my foot swells from torn muscles. Sometimes I cannot put weight on it due to pain. This expands and contracts while walking. It cushions my the bottom of my foot. Without it I could not walk before I have surgery. It is amazing life saver for me. Buy it.
