K. Jamison: It is a nice mat. No smell. Lays nice and flat. Does not slip on a concrete floor. Surface should be good to wipe clean. It it quite firm and has less cushion than my old mat which was the same thickness, so 4 stars.

Tesla: I recently installed new hard flooring (LVP SPC) in my home gym, but I needed to put down a mat area for cushioning for pushups, light weights, and stretching. It needed to be reasonably tough and cushioning on the hard floor. This mat is non slip, and has a dense material that appears to work well enough. It will remain permanently placed on the floor. I bought it because the description says it is tough enough to allow shoes and weights on it (unlike a yoga mat). It appears "just" thick/tough enough for that use. There was some minor odor when opening it up and rolling it out. I could have looked at a thicker more cushy rubber mat for weights but it would be more expensive and bulky. This is a good value and works well enough. I recommend it.

Kelly: I have hardwood floors and was using a thin yoga mat to work out on that slipped around a lot and my feet would trip over the edges when I did walking or aerobic workouts. I decided to drop the money on a good mat and picked this one because you can wear shoes on it. What an incredible difference, I wish I would have bought it ages ago. It's heavy duty, I mean it weighs 15 pounds! I did air it out for awhile outside out of the sun because it did have a slight odor. This is the best thing I have ever gotten off of Amazon and I use it daily. Workouts are a whole new experience now.
