Mmickey41: Tried it as a stain but it did not meet my expectations. Poplar came out by far the best. Oak was barely visible and fir hardly took at all.

rebarobo: I had to update my review as I’ve been mixing it and using it for many different projects. Since I wrote my “eh” review below, I’ve purchased it in every color. It mixes so well with water and water based mediums to work on pretty much anything. It really isn’t a “glaze”. You would need to buy a separate glaze. But I use it on glass, metal, paper and clay - I mix the colors and have created a great olive green, turquoise, mahogany, anything really. And I like a matte finish, so it’s perfect. I mostly dilute it and use as a stain or with glue medium for a glue paint. I love it
Not at all what I expected. Maybe you need to use very thick coats, but regular coats dry to a super matte finish (which I normally like). It just doesn’t seem as represented in photos.
