It is very loud and the sound carries for 300-500 yards. We use these whistles exclusively for hunting deer with dogs in organized hunt drives in the terrain of Northern Canada. We require a consistently loud whistle that withstands the harsh fall/winter climate and carries sound for maximum distances. i would highly recommend this product for sports, fun or survival use.
