I don’t have the premium service, no need to. You do have to go to your Bluetooth on your cell phone and “allow” your scale.

Irene: The scale at times has a delay with the Bluetooth connection and the battery drains rather quickly but since I have rechargeable batteries galore, its a non issue to me. It works as a scale should and overall I am happy with my purchase.

William R: The scale is very accurate, but it randomly stops connecting to the app. I have to force the app to stop and restart it to resume working. There's no way to tell if the problem is with the scale or the app, but it really doesn't matter which, since the functionality is broken when it happens, which is every several days. It's been acting like this ever since I got it, and nothing fixes it (changing batteries, uninstalling the app, etc.)

Sophie: This was exceptionally easy to get set up and paired with the Fitbit app. Took all of maybe 3 minutes maximum. Once set up it makes for tracking and logging your weight progress almost second nature. Overall quality of the product is exceptional, doesn't feel flimsy or cheaply made at all. If you're integrated into the Fitbit ecosystem, this is a must have.

LilKirch: I’ve seen many people give negative feedback on this scale, but I love it. I’ll try to address some of those concerns I’ve seen in other people’s feedback, here in my feedback for you. People have mentioned that the set up is complicated. Setting this scale up was a piece of cake for me!!! People don’t like that the scale doesn’t show your BMI. It’s no big deal, really. It shows up in the app. Make sure you have the Fitbit app! People don’t like that you have to be in the app for the app to sync your weight. Also really no big deal. I open the app, set my phone on the counter (so the scale doesn’t weigh me with my phone) and VOILA! When I hop off the scale, and look at the app, there’s today’s weight AND BMI. I click “save, and that’s all there is to it. People have said that this scale is not accurate. For me, this scale has been extremely consistent, every…single…day, tracking both weight, and BMI. I would definitely buy it again! Buy it! You’ll love it! ;-)

Cirrus9uk: Don't get me wrong, I love Fitbit trackers and smart watches and have owned several over the years, culminating in their flagship Fitbit Sense which I absolutely adore. I was so into Fitbit that I threw away a perfectly good pair of bathroom scales in October 2020 to replace them with the Fitbit Aria Air and have regretted it ever since!
Firstly disappointment, it doesn't even measure body fat! A £50 connected bathroom scale that doesn't even measure body fat! Seriously Fitbit?!! To be honest though, even if it did, I'm not sure the app would be able to use the data constructively. Yes the app is generally brilliant and can do some amazing things with the data it imports from its trackers and smart watches, but when giving you smart scales related data it is extremely lacking and basic.
Next huge disappointment was the reliability of its Bluetooth connection. On average it would download the weight reading to the app about one time in five! I downloaded a software patch, and reinstalled it on the app twice, but it never improved. On the odd occasion that it did download, it was so slow that I had usually manually typed my weight into the app by that stage!
I've heard...
