Jon C: I’m not really sure how I am supposed to check my temperature when the meter starts at 200 degrees!!!! My goodness if I were that hot I’d be dead!!!
So even though I stuck it under my tongue it was really hard to get a reading since the scale is too high of increments… but I had a great idea!
I’d use it on my Weber Grill to replace the factory one that broke. And whatdayaknow, it fits perfectly and works great!!’ Couldn’t be happy to have found a use!
PS, don’t stick in your anus for a thermometer, it’s sharp!!!!!!!’

andrew vied: The thermometer on my in-laws' Weber Genesis II grill stopped reading correct temperatures (it stopped at 250º instead of ambient temperature). I didn't want to spend extra money on a thermometer that had the Weber logo, when this would likely work just as well.
Installation was straightforward, and it has worked well for a couple months of regular grilling. I noticed this one was developing some condensation inside the thermometer after a couple rain events, but I don't expect it to adversely impact operation.

Al: Unlike the original, there is no “Weber logo” on the lower section of the dial face.
But for the price it’s a very good replacement
Delivery was very fast.
Wing nut is better than original
Looks good, I have just installed it, but have not used the bbq yet
