I've been a happy user of a Greater Goods non-Bluetooth version of the device. (We actually have two of those - one at our summer res and one at the winter res.) However, as a recent iPhone convert I decided to give this scale a try. Very, very cool! Simply open the Weight Gurus app in your iPhone and step on the scale and the data is transmitted to your phone, including the Apple "Health" App if so configured. I just love it. My spouse and I each have the Weight Gurus app on our phones, and it works equally well for both of us. There is no need to set up two different user profiles in the scale itself. It simply sends the data to the connected phone within close prox to the scale. It just works!
Something of note to those that are familiar with the non-Bluetooth version: There is no seconds-long cycling of the various measurements (i.e. weight, body fat, muscle mass, water weight, and BMI) on this scale readout as there is with the non-Bluetooth model. All that appears in the readout screen of this scale is the weight. However, the full data is immediately transmitted to your phone...

Peter R. Hebda: I was previously using the Greater Goods Basic Body Composition Scale and I was happy with it but I moved to this scale because I liked the Bluetooth option to be able to log data to my phone. The previous scale displayed all of the measured parameters one a time for a few seconds so I was a bit surprised when this one only displayed the weight on the scale but once I got the download working, I found that all of the parameters were sent to the phone and I am good with that. I also had an issue with the app at first because I would open the app before I got the scale ready to step on so by the time it measured my weight, my phone would turn off before the data was transmitted. This was just a coordination issue on my part, so once I got the process together of getting the scale ready, starting the app then stepping on, it all worked very smoothly.
I have been using this scale for almost a week and I have been very happy with it. There is almost no set up involved except to pull out the plastic tab to allow the battery to connect and load the app on your phone. The previous scale requires you to set your personal information (height, age, etc) so again I was looking to do this...

The sleek design feels and looks like a scale costing 5 times the price!
The scale has a capacity of 180Kg or 397Lbs
On the bottom of the scale is a button named : “UNIT” thus the scale can display in Kg's or pounds
A big removable sticker on the front guides you to their website and setup instructions
Setup is a big word. I installed the app on my Android , stepped on the scale and that was it
Well almost, the software requires you to create an account (email and a password)
Not sure that I like the idea of giving out my email address in a world where there is already so much spam
I've read some comments from Android users that they were not pleased that the app requires “location”
Note that is NOT the companies fault as Blue-Tooth on the newer versions of Android will no longer function without “location”
We tested the scale with some calibrated units and the scale is SPOT ON!!!
Amazing for a product in this price category
The scale uses 4 standard AAA batteries and that is a very welcome...
