Samantha: There is a ton of information in the book in alphabetical order, which can be somewhat annoying if you're reading from cover to cover. As it can jump decades from one page to the next. It is convenient if you know what you are looking for. Also to be clear Bill Murray has no actual affiliation with this book. The author did extensive research into the actors life, talking with colleagues and associates for information for the book. The author also goes on to rate each of the quality of each of his movies, as well as a separate rating on his performance in said movie. The ratings are to be taken with a grain of salt, as they are based on the authors personal opinions. Some of which I agree with, and others I don't. Overall I'd definitely recommend this book for any Bill Murray fan. If anything it is a great conversation starter and coffee table book.

butch huff: Me. Schnakenberg has given Bill Murray fans a very lovely gift! It is written beautifully, and it is structured with tons of photos, and quotes that will satisfy even the most demanding Murrayphile. One can simply open this tome randomly, and thoroughly enjoy what's displayed. It is quite simply wonderful. If anyone knows a Bill Murray fan of any level, this would make a fantastic Christmas gift or stocking stuffer. I, for one, mean to seek out Mr. Schnakenberg's other endeavors since he has given us such a terrific look at a true American treasure. Thank you Mr. Schnakenberg, I loved it!!!

McLanius: This is NOT an authorized biography of Bill Murray. However, Robert Schnakenberg did his research, and did it very well. These are stories about, involving, or of Bill Murray and the highlights of his life. Some of the stories are directly from BFM himself, while others are pulled from interviews of other co-stars/directors/family members etc. etc. There are also detailed reviews of his most famous movies, the roles he played in them, and the importance/must-see "rating" of each film he starred in. Schnakenberg also describes/debunks some of the lore surrounding the worlds best gate crasher (his infamous 1-800 number, movies he missed out on or passed up, fights with co-stars). If youre even a casual Murray fan this book should be in your shelves.
