Latch is small and flimsy but I decided to take a chance and install it anyways. Within a few hours it was broken. Now I have two holes in my barn door and two holes in my wall I have to deal with and the problem of my laundry room still being accessible by a toddler.
0/10 do not recommend.

Purchased these for my pocket doors. My dogs know how to open the doors, so nothing is safe! 🤣
These stopped that! A bit of a pain to install, as they're small, but look better being small. They work so good. Just a flick of the finger. Will be ordering more.
The dogs now just use the other pocket doors. 🤣

The 90 degree buckle lock is well made and well machined. Other products like this that I have used before have had burrs or bends making the latch catch or need to be forced into place during installation, but not this one. This one though slips right into place without needing to bend or shape the metal. Once in place, it holds in place without wiggling. All in all, the machined tolerance is surprisingly good for the price point. The only downside was the screws sent with the installation. They fit, but they are a bit on the small and short side. Making it a bit challenging to hold them in place for installation and making their bite/hold into the frame a bit more shallow than I would prefer. Overall 4/5 stars for being well made and functional.

Recently purchased a house that needed a new backyard gate latch. This works perfectly for what I was looking for. Cost-effective, easy to install, and is able to lock itself in the latched position if you slide the gate back. It is smaller than I had hoped but gets the job done nonetheless.
