But, they work great for the chamber machines. I'm going to get the 6 in. Bags also.

Snapdragon: While the plastic is much thinner than the Anova bags, the few I have used have held their seal. Much cheaper

Donald R: The bags are 2.5 mils, the 3.0 mil sample bags that were shipped to my chamber sealer measured to actually be 4.0 mils. The plastic bag packaging appeared to have been opened twice, taped shut at the top and on the left hand side, there may be 250 bags... It looks doggy as all get out, and when I held one of the bags, thin as hell, I literally wonder for a moment if this was a counterfit product made out of recycled sewer plastic. So I tried tested multiple bags and they all seemed to work fine, except for when I was chamber sealing freeze dried apples, three bags in a row the seals failed after about 20 minutes. I double sealed the bags (cutting them shorter), no luck. So I did other bag tests from the top/bottom/middle of the bags sent and could not replicate the problem (each 5 and 9 seal settings). These worked fine for corn and other random freeze goods in tests. Frozen meets have so far remained sealed. The verdict, I'll keep (the price was fine) but probably not use with freeze dried foods.
