JaxJags: I purchased and installed this cooler and set the temperature in both zones to 55 degrees. After a few hours the top zone had reached and maintained 55 degrees, the lower zone had reached and stayed at 59 degrees. I powered the unit off and back on and reset the temps on both zones, again the top zone lowered and stayed at 55 and the lower zone reached 59 degrees and stayed.
I contacted Amazon and they quickly sent a replacement unit, it performed exactly the same way, the lower zone would not go lower that 59 degrees. I contacted NEWAIR support and they stated that the product was working as designed, that the temperature could fluctuate in ether zone by up to 5 degrees. I stated three times that there is not fluctuation here, it will not go any colder than 59 degrees regardless of what the documentation says that it will maintain temps from 54-64 to no avail.
Do yourself a favor, pick another product with better support and Amazon, stop selling this junk!

MicrodevMicrodev: We took a chance and purchased this cooler after looking at a hundred reviews all over the net. If you don't want to read this entire review, the net summary is that this wine cooler is spacious, quiet, good looking, and functional. I've had the cooler for about two weeks before writing this review.
Why this cooler:
The cooler met all of our requirements (at least 36 bottles), it needed to be mid-sized and standalone or under a cabinet, have a glass door, comfortably fit larger cabernet bottles and a champagne bottle or two, and most importantly it needed to be quiet. We came from a 18 bottle cooler that used thermal cooling (no compressor) that held our larger bottles with ease and we didn't want noises coming from our kitchen (our family room is next to it). After looking at all coolers in this price range, and more than triple this price, we decided to try this one. Our reasoning was that all of the coolers had positive and negative reviews, so we might as well start with the less expensive one.
Space:
Obviously a wine cooler is of no use if it can't hold wine bottles properly. This cooler would be hard pressed to reach the full capacity with regular...

Mike: This fridge does exactly what it's supposed to do: keep wine at the right temperature. I've only had mine for about a week, but so far so good. It holds 90+ bottles comfortably, although you have to store them all head-to-toe which makes reading the labels pretty much impossible. My biggest complaint with the fridge is how noisy it is. The average ambient sound level is only around 35 decibels, but when the compressor cycles on and off (roughly every 3-4 minutes), there is a loud, unmistakable "click" sound. I don't think I've ever heard a fridge make such a pronounced "CLICK" noise more often than this. So, I wouldn't recommend this fridge if you are noise sensitive and plan to keep it in an area where you'll spend a lot of your quiet time every day.
