Eugene C.: The best way to describe this spinner is that its a cheap piece of crap. To call this metal would be a compliment. Its flimsy and just junk. A cross between foil and tin. Its so cheap. The ground stake bends immediately and you better plant it right the first time or your going to have to fix and bend it and try again to get it in the ground. It reminds me of a yard decoration that should be sold at the $5 an under store. It will last one season at best." Warning" - do not sucker for this. And its tiny. If you want a solid, great wind spinner , order one from Costco. They have 9 different models. All are heavy duty, large , really made spinners for about $40 bucks. I don't like to bash products but its junk

JL: The media could not be loaded.  Had to do what I did for my other one--put a piece of plumbing pipe over the original pipe. The threads are a little wonky too. it unscrews with the wind turning the whirligig. The pvc over the original pipe cures that too, I'm guessing because the PVC is snug enough to keep the pipe from moving. The only thing I'm going to do now is when it gets warmer, spray paint the pvc pipe so it doesn't look as hill-jack as it is. There's no way to keep the bulb airtight from moisture. Don't know how long the light is going to last, but so far into December it works fairly well as long as there's enough daylight to charge it. It's cute to watch and peaceful, sitting on the front porch watching it.
Addition May 2021: I love it, but it’s just not very sturdy. The light with the sandwich wrap and clear packing tape has kept some of the moisture out of the lighting fixture, and it still works. One side of it the washer part of it that keeps it straight and free to twirl has broken. You have to super glue the caps on so they don’t let the wheels fly off in the wind. We get a lot of wind and these don’t stand up to it. The pvc does help a lot. They...

Vicky CunninghamVicky Cunningham: We love the spinner and light however the supporting pole is far too flimsy for the weight of the spinner and light and it broke the first day we put it up.
We have had to support ours with a piece of wood and gorilla tape.
