Size was perfect for me. Easy to hold, not too heavy and the ring was loud, but not overly so.

This is a great bell for any OUTDOOR sport.
It is loud. LOUD loud.
The tongue is actually made up of two pieces, one long straight post connected to a shorter post ending in a steel ball, which can swing freely.
This allows for more movement of the ball end and more NOISE!!
I was looking for a loud bell.
..... I actually returned this bell because it was TOO LOUD for a hockey game, indoors.
