J. Rich: Pleasantly Surprised. Easy to put together and great if you need extra storage. I put it in the closed to store boots and shoes. Perfect to leave in a living room also.

debicga: They took a little longer to get to me than initially expected but now that I have them, they are being put to good use. I bought 2 for a certain space as I couldn't find anything else affordable. Super easy to put together although I did put one side backwards. Wasn't until everything was put together that I realized and since it didn't effect stability or looks I chose to leave it. These are not super heavy so I wouldn't overload them but a nice, inexpensive solution for me for now.

DD: I’ll start with the good: it was relatively easy to assemble, however a few pre drilled holes were WAY off. It’s good quality & was easy to fasten to the wall to keep small children safe.
The bad: the screws though labeled in the instructions, came in a bag with no label…just all together. The slats are all facing front to back so thinner books fall right through -leaving no choice but to stack them. It did give off a pretty strong odor upon unboxing but we were able to open a window overnight & that cleared up. Overall I’m happy with it. I think the slats are annoying but that’s not the end of the world.

Laura BrackenLaura Bracken: I ordered one of these for my hallway. I chose this one because the price was decent, the width (how far out from the wall it goes) was ideal, and they offered it in white.
Turned out to be SUPER easy to put together. From unboxing to securing to the wall, less than one hour total (I did use an electric drill which helped speed things along).
I ended up liking the first one so much I purchased a second one immediately and now they are side by side.
They work great as shoe racks, but I'll be adding more than just shoes (as I'm not a shoe collector so don't have too many pair).
If you're going to build one of these, my wee bits of advice are:
1) Do pay attention to the fact that the screws go INTO the larger hole and EXIT the smaller hole.
2) It's easier if you screw the lone bracing sticks (you'll know what I mean when you get the box) into one of the side panels BEFORE securing the second side panel. I didn't notice that step in the instructions, so I put both sides of the stand together with the shelves first... and had to add the bracing sticks afterward, but it really wasn't a big deal.
3) I did have one split (see photos) so I just removed...
