Chainsaw: I lost some body weight (finally, thank goodness!) and found my leather belts didn't quite fit me anymore. But finding a local store who stocked hole punches for leather proved to be very difficult. So ... I found these inexpensive, durable, easy-to-use leather hold punches. I bought them immediately. When I got them, one day later, I used one of the correct size punches one four leather belts. They did the job as I expected. Good product! I recommend them.

K.M.: These punches are tools I "need" in my toolbox. They're sharp, and proved to be just the ticket when I recently replaced the hold down straps for my kayak hatch covers. After selecting the right diameter to accommodate the rivets I used, the tool made smooth, clean holes through the thick poly webbing I used. The right tool for the right job!

Pros:
* Functional case
* Quick delivery
* Razor sharp.
* Appear to be well machined
* Includes a cutting pad

Cons:
* There is no place in the case to store the cutting pad.
* Cutting pad is very soft.

Needed this for a project. It did a much better job than the plier types that have a rotating wheel. These hollow cutters are razor sharp so it took very gentle taps to cut through the leather.

I would suggest that you do your work on a cutting board as the included pad appears to be made from pressed paper and will easily be sliced all the way through.

Overall, good value for the money. I didn’t see the need to look elsewhere.

John William jones: I make my own gaskets, and used the punches to make the bolt holes.
Works great on the cork gaskets. Very easy to use, good value for the money.

GeoKs: We needed this punch set to create custom rubber pieces for holding arca plates and Peak Design capture plates firmly to camera bodies and L brackets. Since you can't drill or easily cut openings for the 3/8 or 1/4 inch bolts in rubber or silicone sheets; you need a way to punch holes. These are the right tool for the job. They easily cut through 1/8 inch rubber and silicone with just a few taps with a mallet. The punch set is more practical than rotary leather punch devices as you have more flexibility in where you can place your holes on a sheet. These seem well made and were sharp enough to create nice clean holes in rubber and silicone. Highly recommended.
