meliberg: I ordered these because I needed a set of navy blue towels to go with my new bathroom upgrade. I wasn't expecting much but wasn't overly concerned about the quality. Boy did I get a nice surprise! When I first opened the package I was a little underwhelmed, they were about what I expected. BUT, then I washed them and holy cow are they soft! They are wonderful!! Every time I reach for them, I am saying to myself, I just love these towels. They are truly the best ones I have ever bought. I have bought some really expensive towels in my lifetime and these surpass all of them. They are not overly thick, so if you are looking for thickness these are not the ones for you. However, what they don't have in thickness they definitely make up in softness. Besides, if the towels are too thick it makes it hard to get into some of the crevasses ;-) I am definitely going to reorder a few more sets.

I was somewhat hesitant and skeptical prior to making the purchase for these, probably because of how large these are and how fair the price seemed. I bought them about a month ago and when the package arrived I opened and inspected them and everything looked ok. I was going to get them in a brown color since that's what my previous towels were but the grey ones were slightly less expensive and I'm not too concerned with aesthetics for bath towels.

I already knew I was going to have to wash them multiple times to break them in with the removal of the excess cotton fibers. I did initially wash and tumble dry them 5 or 6 times (with cool water, less dissolved minerals keeps them softer), as each time I would dry them the dryer lint trap would be roughly 80% full (again this was expected). LGG: I don't find these towells thin. I'd say they are medium weight which I wanted because they will dry more quickly. At first I felt the colour wasn't exactly like in the photo on Amazon but although it's brighter the colour is plenty dark enough out of the plastic. Happy with this purchase and with the fact I could buy hand towells and facecloths without buying bathtowells.

One thing that is unusual is the fact that the decorative band (not sure what to call that) is only at one end of the towell. Now I've always thought those bands, if too larger are a waste of useable towell so this doesn't bother me.
