Michelle: I bought these not really knowing how my cat would react to them. My cat became OBSESSED, she now demands to play fetch with these balls on the daily. I've bought other balls that have not really worked the same, she really only loves these!

and a rubber ball.

Tinkerfly: I have some wool dryer balls, one of which my kitten stole and mauled to death, so I decided to get her some of her own. They were an instant hit with both our cats. They're as bright and colorful as they looked in their picture, and they're the perfect size for either fetch or for them playing by themselves. They are just small enough that they can pick them up in their mouths and carry them around, so one of the cats in particular loves to carry it all over and hide them in more "challenging" areas to try and stalk. They are soft, but sturdy, none of them have gotten torn up yet, though one or two have disappeared into the nether. This is definitely one of those must-have items we will keep in stock!
*Update, almost 2 years later* I just wanted to add that this is still hands-down the most popular toy in our house. They do eventually get worn out; I suppose you might be able to "re-felt" them, but I've never bothered. Also, the green stripe is actually another thread of wool that's wound around the ball and felted in, and if the cat gets particular about it it, it is possible for them to pick at it until the thread comes loose and they unwind it from the ball. However...

G. Smith: The media could not be loaded. My two-year-old cat LOVES these woolen balls. I used to buy cloth covered plastic balls that made rattling noises. Since seeing these woolen balls she ignores the others, which is fine with me because they were very easily damaged (stepped on, closed in doors, cloth covers ripped off, etc.). The wool balls cost almost the same, but have held up much better after a month of daily use. My cat still plays with them constantly, bringing them to me to throw for her or by batting them around. She has actually brought me one to throw eight times as I have been writing this review.
I just bought a second set because she tends to lose them under furniture while playing cat soccer. I expect to find a small nest of them under a couch or behind a bookshelf any day now.
I haven't tried to wash them yet, but it appears that at least one reviewer has successfully done so. Well, got to go. I have just had a ball dropped at my feet for the ninth time.
