Dennis: Thin enough to seal and string enough that it is difficult to rip, I cut it with a scissors. It seals and works as expected. Used it on a few threads and 3 layers seems ideal.

Robin J. Verret: I needed a roll of Teflon sealing tape, so I searched Amazon. As usual there were numerous deals with varying sizes and amounts, priced accordingly. But one deal stuck out. A dozen (12) rolls for nearly the price of one locally, so I ordered. I fully expected these to be those mini rolls you get with a faucet or fitting etc. But I was presently surprised when it arrived. I received 12 rolls with enough tape to last ME a lifetime. If you are a plumber or other pro, or even a “jack of all trades” homeowner like me, needing Teflon tape…this is a great deal for you!

IraLA: I knew from other reviews that this is an inexpensive -- ok, cheap? -- product. But I decided that the objections could all be dealt with by taking care: it is very thin; but so what? I gave it an extra turn, and it was fine.
It can fold on itself; but so what? It is inexpensive enough that discarding an inch or two of the teflon tape is no big deal (other than the environmental impact, if any, as compared to thick tape, I suppose)
I have used it several times since its recent arrival, and so far so good. Would I buy this again if I needed more? Based on my experience thus far, yes, absolutely.
