Most young philodendrons that develop LARGE leaves later in life, will thrive more readily if they are given a DEEP pot so their roots can grow long and strong from the start. They also need excellent drainage so these orchid pots are perfect. I also purchased much larger black pots of a similar design and quality on eBay for 15.00 each.

I'm glad I made this purchase. I have some Phalaenopsis Orchids that have massive root systems and was having a hard time finding containers for them. These work great they are thick and sturdy, Precut holes and clear which makes it much easier to determine if they need to be watered and if the roots are healthy. They also fit perfect in my holder. I plan on purchasing more.

I have to subtract a star though for obvious manufacturing defects - almost all of the cutaway holes had bits of plastic lingering. Some weren't even cut through at all.
Shouldn't have to finish the job myself at home after buying a product.
It is worth noting that, while thick, the plastic can still be melted with a glue gun or soldering iron if you wish to add more holes, so perfect for orchids.
