It is made for a tool box but I use it for my small metal shed door.
It keeps the critters out.
Raccoons are pretty strong but they don't get in.

I bought these latches without looking closer. They look sturdy and well built, but I found the exact same latches for half the price and with screws… always scan the other products here before final purchase.
